Just because a person says "x is real" without evidence doesn't make it real until someone finds evidence to prove otherwise. If that was the case, then you would have to believe in dragons etc.

This is in contrast to "agnostic" from the Greek "gnos" which means "to know." Thus, agnostics claim to not know. Maybe there is a God or gods, and maybe there isn't. Atheists make the assertion that there is no God or gods. Either you are saying that you belief that there is no God or gods, or you are saying that you don't know, in which case you are agnostic

I also agree that religion can help people, because it has some good points about how to go one with life. However when a religion starts to bash, disgrace, insult and spread influence over other religions, this becomes a source of major conflict. For example the crusades and it's sequels.

It is rare below the age of 11 and extremely rare at 9. Slavery IS allowed in Islam, Mohammed was himself a slave trader and Islam clearly advocates convert, enslave or kill. Yes, Jihad means Struggle, as in 'Mein Kampf'.
