  • Jessica is so beautiful. Love her voice!

  • i'm the only one that loves Hugh's beard?? XD

  • @AcidMadGirl

I would'nt mind cuddling with it, would'nt mind at all... ;)

  • Jessica has the most beautiful voice. And face. I love her character!

  • I would love to work with Julian in screenwriting. Downtown Abby is what happens when there is great writing and great cast. Thank you to all of you for doing your best.

  • Why ever I read Downton Video comments I read them in a British accent in my head... So wrong.

  • holy shit! just found out that Jessica was in Black Mirror!

  • Downton Abbey has become my new favorite show. Finally a show for grownups to watch. I can't stand all of the "I'm fat" / cooking shows / reality shows / dummy shows on American television. I almost gave up television for good, but Downton Abbey has renewed my faith that good television programming is still possible.

  • I think Jessica Brown-Findlay is lovely but I wish she would drink some herbal tea. Her voice is rather painful to listen to. I know she's a ballet dancer, so maybe she hasn't had the benefit of voice training, but I worry that she's straining her vocal apparatus.

  • I attended a lecture Julian Fellowes gave at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, DC, on Anne Boleyn. I teach the history of Tudor England at a local college, so I was enthralled with the breadth of his knowledge. I actually spent about an hour talking to him after the lecture, and it was a tremendous experience. I remember seeing him on the screen in "Shadowlands" with Anthony Hopkins, and have loved his work ever since!

  • LORD GRANTHAM! You disregarded the removal of your facial hair !!

  • Comment removed

  • Jessica Brown-Findlay is surely one of the most beautiful actresses currently on television! So underrated. And this show is just phenomenal.

  • @linlovesthedoctor Watch all the young stars become MASSIVE in the years to come...'

  • I really like listening to Julian Fellowes explain his work, the reasons behind it, the fascinating challenges etc...I'd love to atten a lecture held by him on screenwriting.

  • look at lord granthems beard!

  • @S2naturally If you like Joanne Froggatt (Anna), there's a very good 3 hours drams with her here on youtube.

    watch?v=iQHjacNy1wU

It's 11 parts true story drama about the famous 1960s Moors murders

and Joanne Froggatt (Anna) is really great in it.

  • Laura and Jessica are so pretty, it's not even fair

  • @ghostie95 And Joanne isn't??? Lol. :P

  • love that show! cheers from Austria!;)

  • Jessica is absolutely gorgeous.

  • Lose the beard Hugh, it doesn't suit you!!!!

  • @amvfrancis He was in an Ep of Doctor Who earlier in the year, playing a 17th-18th century Ship's Captian. The Beard was for that I think.

  • @kiwibeca Oh right, It is sooo ship captain and so not Lord of a house!!!!

  • I must say that Mr Carson's voice sounds very much like..., well,... Darth Vader

  • Downton is absolutely fabulous. When is GIANLUCA PAGANELLI going to join the cast?

  • Wonderful 'Downton Abbey'; the story characters are so interesting, from an Enneagram (Personality Profiling System) 'point of view'. In celebration of 'Downton Abbey' I have made a video. Do check it out :)

  • lady Sybil has got a beautiful smile and gorgeous eyes, no wonder the choffer lost his peace of mind over her...

  • anna is so gorgeous

  • Oh dear! Lord Grantham, I do not like you with a beard! The Dowager will have forty fits if she sees you so embellished, I dread to think of her cutting words!

  • Second best programme on TV - just brilliant, there will be an uprising if it ever stops

  • @seddiefan65176 Just out of curiousity, what's first?

  • @abbyp2229 Doctor Who :D It will always be my favourite programme, cos my friend got me into it when it came back in 2005 when I was little :D

  • Downton Abbey....magnetic says it all....LOVE IT

  • DOWNTON FOREVER !

    I agree Jessica is stunning!

  • Right, that is it! Goodbye Keira Knightly, hello Jessica Brown-Findlay you are gorgeous!

  • I love Jessica Brown-Findlay's voice, and Joanne Froggatt's such a great actress :) love Downton Abbey!

  • Starts @ 3:25

  • Jessica Brown-Findlay <333

  • She is a fox. Sexy voice.

  • Julian Fellowes is the thinking man's Stephen Fry.

  • <3 Jessica Brown-Findlay & Laura Carmichael

  • I'm pissed that Michelle isn't in it...*pouts* but it's cool

  • i like Jessica Brown-Findlay and Joanne Froggatt

  • is it just me that loves Jessica's voice? its so gravely, i just love it! haha

  • They aired the third episode in Holland yesterday. Everything about this series has so far been amazing, the script, the acting, the story lines, the feel and look of that era, the music, just wonderful. I adore movies about past times, especially enjoy watching the products they used which don't excist anymore.

  • Anna's gorgeous with her hair out

  • I love this series so much. :)

  • I love, love, love this series!! I can't wait for the next season! When does is start??

  • Hugh Bonneville takes my breath away. I want one.

  • I'm glad Jessica is not a stupid like anorexic bitch like most actresses today.

  • @HORSEZOX Looks like you've got some major catty issues with thin stars. Even if Jessica was rail-thin, she'd still be beautiful...and even if she wasn't all that intelligent, people would still like her because she's sweet....unlike some people......

  • @emidore Well some stars are way to thin, so yeah. Im thinish myself but not like actresses today. To me cruves are so much more attractive than bone, so i woudn't agree that she'd be as beautiful as she is now- looking at her in a role model type way. And have you ever heard the quote "beauty without intelligence is a masterpiece painted on a napkin" hmm, maybe you haven't

  • @emidore Hear, hear! Let's not shame any kind of women, no matter what they look like. There are plenty of fantastic actresses out there today of all sizes and shapes and there's no need to put down one just because we like another. Horrifying how many people "liked" that cruel comment up there.

  • @pratyeka Thanks. At least there are two of us who believe that there's more importance in the quality of acting than the appearance and intelligence of actresses. I'm also very surprised at how many people gave that comment a thumbs up, but I guess I shouldn't be...there are a lot of people who like to vent about how much or how little this or that celebrity weighs.

  • @WaterSparkle Are you being serious?!? She is jacked up looking eww!

  • Laura Carmichael is so pretty, so different to her character Lady Edith

  • For me, I cannot get enough of Hugh Bonneville. Such a honey!!!

Oh - and I also love the show, as it's so refreshing to be able to actually care about the characters.

  • Downton Schmownton

  • When's this start in Australia?

They've been advertising it, but IDK when it begins :/

  • @psychokitty93 sunday 29th May @ 8.30 channel 7

  • I wish this series was longer than seven episodes. I absolutely loved it!

  • Jessica was also in Misfits for an episode, she's beautiful. Never seen this show but will try to watch it. Period-dramas are the best

  • I love you joanne froggatt! My name is anna ((:

  • I've watched this series, and love the way the characters were "developed." One example is Cora. She's a nice lady, but occasionally shows her venom. Then there's the battle between Mary and Edith. There's Thomas the footman, seemingly "together," but not really. Best of all is the old granny, the Dowager Countess, with her battles with Mrs. Crawley. Of course I haven't forgot the butler, the cooks, and of course the others in this story.

  • I hate it when the highest rated comments focus on the looks of a girl.

Try to comment on the whole video come on.

  • Too bad they do not show the "Turskish" guy...a sight to behold!! : )

  • @MariannaNYC09 ... Oh yes indeed Mr Pamuk, the Turkish Ambassador's son.. Yummy indeed.. shame he was only in it for one episode though... Role on Autumn, series 2 is coming to ITV in the UK... YIPPEE :0)x

  • @wenglishsal

Wait...let me get this...are you saying there is another series??? WHEN??? This is too good to be true..

  • @MariannaNYC09 ... YES, YES, YES, Downton Abbey is coming back in the AUTUMN (Fall) on ITV, in the UK. And I for one cannot wait, so I will have to content myself with veiwing the DVD set until then...YIPPEE CONGRATULATIONS TOO, to CATHERINE AND WILLIAM on their marriage today, I watched it on telly and was amazed and alittle teary too, if truth be told, but it was WONDERFUL :0)x

  • @wenglishsal

This is TOTALLY GREAT NEWS, THANKS!! wonder how it will continue..the first part ended with the war announcement... will it continue during the war? Can't wait anyway.

And yes, The Wedding was beautiful and shame to all those who say bad things about it; finally some happy people on TV after years of bombs, wars, floods, earthquakes, recessions......and so what if it is tax payers' money? I would rather give them to them then to Wall Street - wait...am I straying off topic?

  • @MariannaNYC09 Hello again... I am hoping that Thomas gets his come-uppance and that Anna and Mr Bates get together, asfter all his Mother liked her... but i have heard a whisper over here that Bates' wife turns up, to cause trouble... Oh oh.... And I wonder who will take Mary on, 'now she is damaged goods'.. will Matthew come back??? Will Edith get her older man?? Will Cybil go to anymore rallys???

I cannot wait, but i will have too... :0)x

  • Lady Edith Crawley = Jan Brady

  • Where can I find this wallpaper? Does anyone know?!

  • @magsli Probably Sanderson, Harlequin or Osborne & Little.

  • Its unbelievable that after finishing writing the script they were only going to have one season, can you imagine if season 1 was it! it would be so open-ended to be unbearable.

  • @iop333 OMG, I know, I HATE openendings.

  • 0:38 "A television series... you've got 8 hours or something to play with." - What the British call a series we'd call a mini-series.

3:03 "...the question of the entail" ..they used that word in the series. First I'd heard of it . - (poetry follows): Entail: An estate whose succession is limited to certain people rather than passed to all heirs.- A conveyance of land subject to restrictions, namely, that it may only descend to certain specified heirs.

  • @marmas58ink The show costs a fortune... a million dollars an episode. None of the actors in this series get anything like the salaries actors would in a big american series. Taking into account this is essentially made for an british audience, which is about 60 million..1 million is like spending 5 million an episode for a big american tv show.

  • I do hope Jessica gets more roles that can be seen in the USA.

  • Julian Fellowes writer of "Downton Abbey" takes an easy out when warping up his story-- the war begins and that is all!!!! What happens to all the characters? It's up to us to do the work of a good writer. The acting, period customes, and setting were wonderful.

  • 3:25 for JESSICA

  • Comment removed

  • Love this series! We just watched it on PBS, and cannot wait for Season 2!

  • i love jessica's eyes! they're beautiful! is it a green or hazel color?

  • 2:58 i swear she also plays the the horse as well

  • i remember julian fellowes. he use to be on one of my favorite english shows 'monarch of the glen'.

  • yes yes .... but wheres the ubiquitous lesbian story line?

  • @illinformedgeek What are you talking about man?!

  • @divagirl408 it seems that every show with an eye on the ratings ,sooner or later, have got at some point a lesbian story line, Jesus every show i can think of, and yes i know their are exceptions, from eastenders and now even coronation street for christ sake! ....now thats what am talking about

  • I want to date Brown-Findlay, blue dress 24/7.

  • Hugh Bonneville from the same area as Colin Firth? Same voice, manner of talking, word choice, facial expressions.

  • Does anyone know what book Julian Fellowes was reading about the American Heiresses who migrated over to England and married into the Aristocracy? This is my favorite period of history and I am very interested to read about that aspect of it. The only one I am really familiar with is Nancy Lancaster (Lady Astor). Please message back if you know, and thanks! Loved GOSFORD PARK and love Julian Fellowes' writing!

  • @karenofbethany Could it be 'The Buccaneers'?? Just an idea, but that does cover that sort of material.

  • Just watched the series catchup that's been on itv over the weekend. Incredible! It's so good :D :D I can't wait til series two :'( AUTUMN :'(

  • I love Sybil and Branson, more of them please in the next series, which is not here soon enough!

  • Sigh I am so ready for series two..Loved this show.

  • Hugh Bonneville is just so GREAT!!! Love him!

  • Joanne is also gorgeous. :O

  • love jessica! shes so gorgeous and sybil's blossoming romance with branson is keeping me hooked!

  • @AbbieNW omg Yes! I hope the new series shows Sybil and Branson's relationship grow! I love them together:)

  • i really did not think that JF had it in him.....what a pleasant surprise...

  • I'm suing Jessica Brown-Findlay for blinding me.

  • @gageiiiiitttt I am more lucky because i can see her almost every day ;-D So nice to work in hotel that they staying since first season. I can say they all are privately very nice people;-) Hard not to like them.

  • @PtoQ891209 aahhh you are so AMAZINGLY lucky! Even though I am very biased in the Jessica direction they do all seem so lovely in interviews, and i don't think you can make such a wonderful show without that level of both professionalism and personal integrity. mate you lead a blessed life!

  • I can't wait for season 2, I'll be buying season 1!

  • Inspiration? Upstairs, Downstairs! Can't believe Julian won't fess up!!

  • @cricketbat08 of course!! AND " the Buccaneers"!!! TV series!! But it's so good!!

  • @marym499 I don't remember The Buccanneers, but I agree Downton is great!

  • love lady Sybil character i kind hope that she end up with Matthew

  • I thought Lady Edith was the youngest of the three sisters

  • Whoaaa Jessica Jane-Findlay is hot hot hot ;)

  • @40megapower its jessica brown findlay but ur right she is sooo fit

  • Oh my God. How hot is Jessica Jane-Findlay!!

  • Lady Sybil, speak her mind, and stand for women right .. I think she so intersting ..

  • I very much dislike beards but i have to say that Hugh Bonneville looks better looking with a beard then without.

  • Mr Julian Fellows is a brilliant writer.I am so glad there will be another series of Downton Abbey it is bloddy brilliant.

  • <3 Anna and Mr Bates <3

  • why is it that all the good actors in dramas and films always grow a sodding beard as soon as production finishes?

  • cos in civilised society being clean shaven was a sign of good breading and religious devotion - pretty much - they probably just got sick of being clean shaven every singe day no matter what for production! haha

  • @lovelySweetSakura cos they don't have to look groomed any more LOL they let the "bear belly out" and relax :D

  • @lovelySweetSakura I was just thinking that!!

  • Jessica Brown-Findlay is gorgeous! :)

  • This has whetted my interest more - especially the vision of Fellowes regarding this not being about carriages and crenolins so much as about the beginning of the modern world. I agree - that transition is fascinating - and it happened very fast.

    Looking forward to this.

  • @Kittalia I agree, the 20th century was absolutely incredible when you think about just how much changed- culturally, technologically, socially. How everything before then had progressed relatively slowly. But in just those years, the change in music, harnessing of electricity, the introduction of film, tv, the change of clothing, sexual equality, transport- could go on and on and on...

  • Let's hope the series itself is a bit more interesting.
