  • Thanks everyone!!! Make sure you check out my new(er) EWI vid; I'll try to post more soon!

  • funktastic!!

  • I'm in Japan and 16-year-old. I play the EWI 4000s and sax too!!! Your EWI play is very wonderful. I want to play like you.Listen to your bass playing, I decided to start playing the bass!!!

I think the video is very great!

  • Did u get the bass part from somewhere or was it just u? That was Beast MAN!!!!!

  • @Wejser you can actually wiggle the entire instrument, which sets off the trigger in the mouthpiece itself; same as biting the mouthpiece, kind of... but I hope this helps; I now use a combination of both the bend pad and shaking the instrument to create vibrato, depending on the situation. Thanks for watching!

  • bad ass bro.. keep jamm on. funk that flesh..

  • Great video ,nice chops !! Your EWI do not even compare to the minimum quality of your sax.Keep it FUNKY .

  • Monte, you're a special talent. Love you're improvisation.

  • Nice one, Monte !

You seem slightly less comfortable on the EWI as compared to your performance on the "good ol' acoustic"... I'm sure you'll soon adapt to the EWI's little quirks and a touch of fine-tuning on the setup controls helps quite a lot during the early days.

Looking forward to seeing more of your EWI performances. I've added this one to my YT EWI playlist.

  • dude u rock! i was wondering doe sthat have the same fingering as the flute? and how much does one of those cost? thnks so much for the video!

  • Very enjoyable, you are a talented musician!

  • dope!

  • Nice job and fantastic hypnotic bass line !!!

    thank's for your groove

  • good video, man! funny how you made those drums by blowing into this...and the chords are great, it sounded like hiphop to me

    peace

  • righteous man. Enjoyable the whole way through. Killer bass groove. Great solos. Overdubbing those chords after the old-school flute solo was a great way to keep things flowing.

Dropping in a tight acoustic funk drum loop would have been the icing on the cake :P
