  • Frankie Hill's part in Celebrity Tropical Fish was SO sick.

  • SB skater born and bred here. I went to San Marcos High. FUCK YOU EDNA BAREHANDS!

  • frankie had the best style ever and still rocks it...glad to have him as a friend

  • Try those trick's on those early 90's board's boy's and see how good you are before you comment.

  • big foot tires on board.

  • at 2:10, how did the guy film while going down the stairs?

  • I don't see how Frankie Hill became pro being such a sketchy rider. Most of his tricks end with a power slide of some sort. Never a clean ride out.

  • Just had to sign in to say you should be embarrsassed about your comment, thats all.

  • It's called style.

  • Fuck all the clean clones, it is all about individuality!!

Frankie Hill inspired more people than most pros today.. He sure was sketchy but with a unique style and he pulled insane tricks

  • @liamazael shut up

  • i go to thaat school

  • Didn't know that Gabriel was such a clean handrailist!

  • man, those big boards are better! HEAVIER!! but i say better

  • 90's style, damn, those shapes were fucking rad back in the day!!!

  • cool session!!

  • frankie stomped out that first grind hard. love that 90's style.

  • He was the first Greco

  • hi gabrial

  • frankie hill dopo propaganda ha iniziato a farsi... e di brutto!

  • io a casa ho ancora la tavola sua della powell peralta: la frankie hill mini (quella co l'orecchio tagliato) :D

  • I GO THERE

    LOVE IT =]

  • i go to san marcos im a sophmore. are school is really boring. they took off blenders from are school

  • Stupid. You should be more concerned with the removal of these rails. Blenders is terrible for you anyway.

  • oh yeah i forgot we had rails. after school there was a kid and he tried skateboarding knowing that there were rails and like he flow off the board and i think his head cracked open. but there was blood. it was crazy

  • Frankie Hill = sketchiest skater ever

  • frankie hill= one of the most inspiring skaters ever!

  • Frankie Hill= one of the 1st skaters to go big.

roblove= YouTuber with no skate videos so STFU.

  • oops twice. oh well point made.

  • Frankie Hill= one of the 1st skaters to go big.

roblove= YouTuber with no skate videos so STFU.

  • frankie hill (certainly did not) lack in skateboarding talent.

  • dude I laughed so ahrd at the end xD

  • the grimey 90s

  • This is cool to see. I knew Frankford back in junior high at Goleta Valley. He used to skate my mini ramp and we would all go to skate jams at grade schools around town. Launch ramps + backboards = bad ace wall rides....

  • what frankie lacked in professional skating talent, he made up for by just throwing his board out, hoping it spins or slides on something, and trying to land it no matter what. lol inspiring to see how far raw determination can get you. gotta love the frankford

  • It was crazy, because the session before this on the banks with Guy and Grabiel was equally inspiring, but Frankie just had this crazy determination and he would put his hands down, toes down, whatever, just to land it, then throw his hands up, he was stoked.

  • frankies parts in the powel videos would always amp us up bigtime to go skate. cause he was just like a shot out of a cannon, and his determination made us be more determined, he really was inspiring, its a shame her hurt his leg

  • hey i go to that school im a junior now...when the hell was this taken????

  • 1990.

  • Jesus. Almost 20 years ago. Where the fuck does the time go?

  • Isnt Frankie sponsered again i just got his re issue deck from powell (Bulldog Deck)what year was this filmed

  • 1989 or 1990.

  • This is pretty incredible to watch. These guys were like what.. 15 or 16 years old? They were basically inventing these tricks as we're watching this. His career was brief, but Frankie Hill's part in "Ban This" totally changed skating forever, because of tricks like this.

  • its a shame they took out the san marcos rails

  • Watching pioneer street skating is always better than the stuff nowadays ... this looks like '91. What video is this footage from?

  • It was during the Quartermaster Cup at the Powell warehouse. I went out filming with Guy, Gabriel, Frankie, Frank H and others... never got used for anything.

  • You're lucky, having been friends with them. I was similarly friends with Mullen way back then, but obviously that wasn't as a peer of any sorts. Plus he was older than me.

  • I have a lot of rodney footage that I have yet to post...

  • Really? You should check out mine. I'm curious what you have in comparison.

  • only frankie hill could get away wit skating wit a part in his hair gabriel rodriguez was alot better than many of us will ever know where is hirata now?

  • Gabriel was incredible. Those 360 ollies are pristine. Don't know where Hirata is but he was killin it that day too.

  • Interesting to see what happened to these guys. Gabriel was definitely ripping the hardest back then. Hirata skates around venice beach a bit. He is ripping harder than ever and with some serious flow. He is a beautiful, healthy man.

  • frank hirata is the one who re-started scarecrow. he has a part in the new scarecrow vid

  • o shit for reel? i had a scarecrow deck b4 i even knew shit about hirata or any of these guys

  • Gosh, another amazing trip down memory lane. Thanks Dave!

  • Dave who?

  • More Rodriguez footage, amazing!
