One pair beaten by trips isn't a bad beat, it's a standard though slightly unlucky outcome: slightly unlucky because the opponent started out with only one live card. This was not only a bad beat, this was a bad play, on both sides. Shipping it on the first round in a tourney preflop, thats dumb, but when the pot is 70, then go all in 1500 if you got pocket ace? That's a waste of your good hand. You are very lucky the other player was bad aswell, calling it with Ace Nine. Preflop was fish play. Post flop it was a bad beat. You wouldn't be beaten if you didn't go all in preflop. he would fold on the flop, and you would 've won a quite nice pot.

people who say its a bad play, if you get aces first hand, why not? people DO call, and you are in with the best odds to win. It's all you can do. If you can double or triple up first hand, go for it, it's probably the best chance you'll have to run deep early you'll get for a while without having to play a flop. You lose ~20% of the time to any other pockets that call, AK, AQ, AJ and all that stuff is crushed. Getting all your money in preflop with aces is all you can do in poker

Just take a look at this one; more of a case of a beginner mistake than a bad beat because if he goes 4x the blinds and the other guy calls, as soon as the flop hits the other guy fold and he picks up the pot.
