Our main problem is the monopoly of the federal reserve's dollar over any other source of currency. This is enforced through legal tender laws that say only federal reserve notes (your dollar) can be used to buy anything. Causes the economy to slow down compared to what it should be. What should happen is that there is a repeal of this law where we can use a commodities standard that is based on a value of a product against anything else, allowing this market to be truly free and strive.
if the Federal Reserve can't have us they'll see to it that no one can. yes, we're in a fatal creditor love affair and if we remove them they will act like babies and attack in passive aggressive childish ways that ruins lives.
Ron Paul is incorrect when he says "you print more money, the value goes down." In order for the value to go down, currency in circulation has to grow faster than the economy (inflation = money growth minus real output growth). Currency in circulation has been growing at a 5.2% rate over the last two years, which is lower than the historical average. The current money growth rate is consistent with a low rate of inflation.
So let me get this right. The fed prints counterfeit copies of the people's money instantly stealing the value of those dollars that are in the people's pockets. They give it to the big banks at the discount rate (currently less than a percent, so basically free) so that the banks can lend the people back their own money????? I don't think that this is what the founding fathers intended.

Hemp gets a bad rap because it looks like cannabis and is in the same family. But it's an amazing plant as RP touched on. You can build bricks from it, as a food it has all the essential nutrients and enzymes etc, and it grows really densely so it's much more cost efficient for farmers than other plants would be.

Yes we're all addicted to oil. If the gov't audited the platform maybe they would have seen prevented the spill. You forget that it was BPs fault not the gov't. Because the gov't didn't put any oversight, much like the New Orleans levees and the federal reserve never being audited, there is a lot of things being overlooked. Why are Oil companies being 'forced' to make profit harbouring natural resources without having to dictate to safety inspections. That's not enough gov't not 2much

@blackbull420 the problem is, there continues to be a glut of government. and the problems still happen. if anything they happen because of government. the Minerals Management Service was derelict in their duties during Bush years, and nothing was changed. on top of that, drillers wanted to be in shallower water, but gov't forced them further out. and on and on and on. real market forces regulate these things.

@onceRoquin Isn't it just a general demand for oil,brought on by market forces, that 'forced' BP into deep waters? All I'm saying is that if the government actually audited the oil platform, for safety for example, some minimal oversight make sure they are adhering to some form of standardized safety procedures,it probably would have prevented the spill. Obama let BP take their sweet time to clean the mess, Gov't didn't do shit 2prevent. Corp. do what they want in your country, thanks Reagan.

Hemp gets a bad rap because it looks like cannabis and is in the same family. But it's an amazing plant as RP touched on. You can build bricks from it, as a food it has all the essential nutrients and enzymes etc, and it grows really densely so it's much more cost efficient for farmers than other plants would be.
