  • Battleax are great tires! That's what I ride on.

  • Spot on.....moving on to the next vid :)

  • Thanks for all your great vids on bike maintenance :). We all know how difficult it is to re-install the rear wheel trying to insert the axle rod from right to left etc. For me a great tip would be to find a block of flat wood, brick, or even department store catalogue perhaps to support the wheel on the ground that is the same height, so you don't have to support the wheel with your left hand. I'm sure you know what I mean. Looking forward to seeing more helpful vids from you soon.

  • @TheBrokenBMW ....that's a good tip, having everything ready before you start is key.

    Thanks 4 watching.

  • You could grease your rod more... All the time grease parts more then less, it's always better for them like that

  • @Piestukas1995 ...thanks for the tip :)

  • Little cold in there? lol

  • I bought the same kit actually for my r6, driven sprockets and the red EK chain. I am glad you put this up. I will find this useful. How did you like your set of sprockets/chain by the way now that time has passed?

  • @IHelliotI ...I still love 'em - I've had no problems (knock wood) and over 5000kms on them

  • @Erik0088 ...I think you should keep your 250 until your super confident on it (no matter how long it takes).

I wouldn't waste any money on it as ANY upgrades are not going to give you much performance gains. I would save your money for upgrades on a bigger bike whenever that days comes for you. Don't be in a hurry and enjoy the 250 it's a great bike :)

  • @Erik0088 ...anytime you change teeth size (front or back) you will change stock settings. You have to sacrifice something, you cant gain acceleration without losing top end speed and vice versa.

  • very good....perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • just bought my first bike, a 2004 Kawasaki zx636. i'll be doing this here in a couple weeks. really appreciate your vid. definitely feel more confident about the job.

  • @EgyptianSoulTV ....thanks very much for the kind words and good luck with it :)

  • looks sweeet, i just installed new chain and sprockets on my bike too, AFAM ones.

  • @Hastyle84 ...thanks very much, how you like your AFAM ones ??

I've heard good things !! Good job !!

  • nice middle fingering grease application, haha.

But I was wondering how much you picked up the torsion setting socket set for?

  • @Lupusxxi24 .....I got my torque wrench for around $100.00 at the local hardware store. They can be a lot more expensive, but as long as I don't drop or abuse the wrench it should last along while.

You just use the sockets from any regular socket set. The wrench comes in 3/8 or 1/2" drives, so buy the one that fits your sockets. I recommend the 1/2" wrench because you get the heavy duty aspect and can use an adapter to use the 3/8" sockets.

  • man do you have mechanic school? great job

  • @rsscoyote .....nope I just love bikes and learning. Thanks for watching :)

  • Another good clean informative vid :) this is a bit off topic but what colour of red are your wheels? they look sweet.

  • @toxicbeaver .....not sure of the exact colour, but it's stock.

It's an anodized red finish is all I know, which apparently is a little more durable than a powder coat finish.

    Thanks 4 da comment !!

  • when your wheel was on the ground it seemed REALLY thick. was probably just the angle. nice vid man. this would have been nice to watch before I did mine!

  • @chasein3d .....funny thing is when the wheel is mounted it looks small to me....lol.

    Thanks man :)

  • Glad i'm not the only one dropping my spacers a dozen times LOL Bike look great with the new tyre and sprockets :-)

  • @bakker46 ...thanks very much. Those spacers are a pain....lol.

  • take it easy at first new tires sleep like old ones.. we dont need u going down lol

  • @GReddyt88dsm ..... Yeah I'm really cautious for the first 100 kms.

Thanks for your concern and the comment.

  • Sprocket looks sweet! Great job explaining the steps, looks like you and I work the same way and let me tell you that's hard to find! A+ bro!

  • @lampingromeo ....thanks man !! Yeah I know some of it's overkill but I just love tinkering with the bike and I'm never in a rush :) I'm trying to make the bike last as long as possible.

  • So glad you put on new tires that rear one was garbage. Great job on this video cause there is nothing to add you covered it perfectly.....I like that chain trick to keep the front sprocket from spinning.

  • @WildBill1006 ...yeah those tires were junk but had lots of meat on the sides.

Pittimus said they would be great for him on a track day.....lol. Thanks for the comment buddy.

  • What tool did you use to "bend" the safety washer on the front sprocket?

  • @kawakocher ....i used a punch to flatten the washer for removal, it was a bit sharp so it did a little damage.

When I put it back on I used a "dull" punch to get a better end product.

  • nice video really enjoyed it and some really good tips keep up the good work

  • @TheRuleBreaker92 ...thanks very much.

  • i know ive asked this before and sorry for asking again but what is your editing program and nice vids keep em comin

  • @YoGuy121 ...it's no problem, I use "Magix Movie Edit Pro 16 HD".

Honestly I wouldn't recommend it though as it has a mind of it's own sometimes.....lol.

    Thanks for watching :)

  • @DarkFlightVlogs damn i got movie edit 15 plus and i havent used it yet but i like your vids and the effects and stuff so i was wondering if tht ws the same program i have now thenks for the reply man i really appreciate it
