Americans live in a democratic system, so we are responsible for the decisions made by our elected leaders. I agree with Pink's sentiments; we've failed to protect the neediest of our citizen while sending our sons and daughters to suffer mutilation and death in Iraq for a phantom cause. We are responsible for our actions, and I am so sorry for the misuse our resources and power... I agree, Hohler, on a lot of that. Maybe we are the best country maybe we aren't. It really depends on what you consider "best". I appreciate my country, though, despite all the anti-Americanism that's being pumped into the school curriculum and media. In addition to that... I wouldn't say I'm a huge Bush fan, but I support him. Why? Because he's the leader of the free country and he deserves respect. Not to mention he doesn't have all the power, and he CAN'T save the world, people!

Of course he hears this, Missally. While I like the harmony and I'm a big fan of the Indigo Girls, I don't appreciate songs that breed hatred about Americans. That's just not my taste. Bush has to deal with hearing every bit of hatred thrown at him. Hundreds of people rallying for his impeachment, videos about hating him, songs about hating him, the media trashing him at every turn. I hate that people are doing this to him. He deserves better than this.

people need to leave him alone. he is not God. he cant do everything by himself. America needs to step up and help each other. It is not all Bush's fault, everything that goes on in America. He is only a man. And about the troops,it is horrible that they have to be there, but what is more horrible is that people think that if we just pull them out it will get WORSE.You cant "negotiate" with terrorists, its just not going to work. The line you said is very true indee. He's not our president anymore, but I think if WE! the people have something to say, we should step up and be heard. We shouldn't rely on other people at all. I didn't like him at all, but it's not like the president is the one who passes laws (its congress) though he did put us in a war.
