Americans live in a democratic system, so we are responsible for the decisions made by our elected leaders. I agree with Pink's sentiments; we've failed to protect the neediest of our citizen while sending our sons and daughters to suffer mutilation and death in Iraq for a phantom cause. We are responsible for our actions, and I am so sorry for the misuse our resources and power... Thank you, Pink, for seeing the truth and having the courage to so eloquently express our collective guilt.
i never cry at night becuase i realize we live in the best country in the world. lol half of the people in the world dont have half the oppurtunities as we do. we are the luckiest people in the world, being born in america. if you have any problem with how its run or what goes on, you should go live in another country for a week. you would be crying to come back home. GEORGE W. BUSH!! is not a bad man hes a human like you and me lol you people are ignorant
best country in the world? my fucking arse, get over yourselves because your, you's all think your the best, remember? who had the revolution first? hmmm........
I agree, Hohler, on a lot of that. Maybe we are the best country maybe we aren't. It really depends on what you consider "best". I appreciate my country, though, despite all the anti-Americanism that's being pumped into the school curriculum and media. In addition to that... I wouldn't say I'm a huge Bush fan, but I support him. Why? Because he's the leader of the free country and he deserves respect. Not to mention he doesn't have all the power, and he CAN'T save the world, people!
its a good song...but the president can do everything on his own....there is a thing called checks and balances which doesnt give him all the control of the country...if he had all the control this wouldnt be a democracy, it would be a dictatorship....every american has the same oppurtunities to succed....george bush is a good president and is a democrat wins the next election were all screwed....saving the minority and poor in this country wont change anything
the lyrics of this song really touch my heart ....and every word she says is true ...i have so much respect for her ....i hope the president hears this ...he needs to
Of course he hears this, Missally. While I like the harmony and I'm a big fan of the Indigo Girls, I don't appreciate songs that breed hatred about Americans. That's just not my taste. Bush has to deal with hearing every bit of hatred thrown at him. Hundreds of people rallying for his impeachment, videos about hating him, songs about hating him, the media trashing him at every turn. I hate that people are doing this to him. He deserves better than this.
i dnt think this song breeds h8red about america or americans i feel that the song is full of rhetorical questions 2 make the world, the president an other country leaders think. bush new wat he was signin up 4 when becoming president he knew people wud h8 him or love him. i would say that this song doesnt really show h8 4 him but 4 some people it leans 2 that side of the fence.
people need to leave him alone. he is not God. he cant do everything by himself. America needs to step up and help each other. It is not all Bush's fault, everything that goes on in America. He is only a man. And about the troops,it is horrible that they have to be there, but what is more horrible is that people think that if we just pull them out it will get WORSE.You cant "negotiate" with terrorists, its just not going to work. People need to stop being followers and step up and actually help!
i think you've no idea what you're saying... bush made me cry, beacause he let he's own people die and hurt people all over the world... he should think about what he did. bush hasn't got a heart 4 people, but pink has!
The line you said is very true indee. He's not our president anymore, but I think if WE! the people have something to say, we should step up and be heard. We shouldn't rely on other people at all. I didn't like him at all, but it's not like the president is the one who passes laws (its congress) though he did put us in a war. Though we couldn't just turn back and do nothing either, but at this time, the war has to stop. Too many dead soldiers.
A celebrity speaks up about the nation and a president who seems to be lacking in presidential skills of the heart. Pink, I have respect for at this point.
when i hear this song I must cry because all of this is the true...
