This looks so much like down in the basin where my late husband and his former business partner kept their buffies in southwest Kansas. The first time I heard this I flashed on some of the things he used to tell me. One thing that stood out was him telling me when he and his horse would ride across the basin the galloping sounds would change depending on the softness or hardness of the ground beneath them.
