@ironshinkim they do it for quicker recovery! they usually go from the ice dumpster into a hot bath (and alternate multiple times)! when cold the blood rushes away from the muscles and when hot it rushes to the muscles bringing in fresh oxygen and nutrients and flushes away the harmful by product chemicals that the body releaes during training.
