Don't denigrate the American achievements too much. Yes, the Soviets did most of the fighting (and dying) in Europe. But the Americans really toughed it out against the Japanese who were absolutely vicious. It is no exaggeration to say that the Americans saved countless Chinese lives and ensured more than 60 years of peace in Asia.

Canadian soldiers were and still are the most feard and tenacious fighters in the world. They are well known for thier bravery and will not back down in any fight. No matter what you say in response to this it will never change my mind or the true documented facts

German soldiers were not more ferocious than Russian ones. When it came down to the individual soldiers, both sides had good men. The German leadership was simply on a higher level than the Russians; since Stalin had killed most of his reliable leaders in the Army purges right before the war started. The Germans also implemented better tactics at the beginning of the war as well. This would all change towards the end though as Russian leadership and tactics vastly improved by 1944 or so.
The Russians were demondogs,, i mean they invaded german for revenge n what they did to mother russia.. EYE for and EYE, and russians weren't a walk in the park.. while other nations were cowards and never fought back for there country russians did that and more! They are alot like us americans.. but a tad bit scarier haha.

If it wasn't for the Normandy invasion the Russians may not have done it alone either. It was the war on 2 fronts that broke the back of the German war machine. The Soviets never shot their own soldiers in the back if they attempted to retreat, infact, the only cases of these ever happening in the USSR were during the revolution, and these were only used on "criminal divisions", basically prisoners conscripted for military service who were not soldiers. It'd be like if we took men off death-row and sent them to the frontlines. Also, the Soviets killed more German war criminals than the allies.
It also wasn't a "personal thing" between Hitler and Stalin. Hitler invaded the fucking Soviet Union, the Nazis killed millions of Soviet citizens on the Eastern Front before the tide of war changed hands to the Soviets. The USSR, naturally, retaliated against the Nazis and crushed them, leaving their capital in ruins and their memory in shambles. It was no personal thing. It was a a retaliatory retribution against the Nazis which ended with the Soviet flag over the Reichstag & Hitler's corpse.

Without USA support, German forces would have rolled over mother russia leaving nothing but black ash in its wake. I mean, seriously, what army sends an infantryman into combat without a firearm? I know, you probably didn't know about that, but now you do. Go back and re-read the real history books.

If it wasn't for the Normandy invasion the Russians may not have done it alone either. It was the war on 2 fronts that broke the back of the German war machine. As for Russian industrial capacity, they turned out a tremendous number of tanks and planes. They suffered terrible at the hands of the Germans in the beginning. Whole towns disappeared. When they counter attacked it was severe. No I am not Russian. I do appreciate what they and other countries endured during that war.

in WW2 they won because of their masses, their willing to die, their cruel leaders (machine guns behind the own soldiers, whoever runs away will be killed by their own soldiers) and of course with the help of the americans.

What constitutes "kicking someone's ass"? Are you forgetting that the Russians were victorious? It could also be argued that the reason the Germans had fewer losses because they retreated from the front and surrendered more frequently to Russian captors.

You are sadly misinformed.. its clear that you know almost nothing about the eastern front. If you call 10 milliom more dead victorious then that's your opinion. You forget all the Huge battle's on the eastern front and the fact that both sides rarely kept prisoners. Meaning if you got caught you were likely to get killed. Thats why both sides fought to the death. + its called a fighting retreat.. Not surprizing since the Germans were outnumbered 10 to 1 and in some cases even 20 to 1.

I've read that just recently they discovered hundreds of Thompson submachine guns in a Russian military storage. These were in the Sherman tanks that the US supplied, but were never used because the ammo was.45cal and the Russians used 9mm.

Defend? They defended the Russian Federation as far as Stalingrad. When they planned to take the war to Berlin, they went too far. Defending oneself is not leaving your country to invade another. Asides for the fact that the Soviet Union tried to expand and conquer other countries in search of they're Totalitarian dream. They did not defend, they we're controlled and used to destroy humanity. The sad thing,
soviet soldiers where used as living shields and as cannon fodder. In front the enemys and in the back the comissinors shooting everyone instantly who tryed to retreat! It was a personal thing between Hitler and Stalin, like a race or a challenge. So the political comisioners where told to push theire own people till death. They sacrifid so much lives, sensless! Also stalin kept banning and inprisioning from the germans captured soviet soldiers after the war. What a shame!

The Soviets never shot their own soldiers in the back if they attempted to retreat, infact, the only cases of these ever happening in the USSR were during the revolution, and these were only used on "criminal divisions", basically prisoners conscripted for military service who were not soldiers. It'd be like if we took men off death-row and sent them to the frontlines. Also, the Soviets killed more German war criminals than the allies.

It also wasn't a "personal thing" between Hitler and Stalin. Hitler invaded the fucking Soviet Union, the Nazis killed millions of Soviet citizens on the Eastern Front before the tide of war changed hands to the Soviets. The USSR, naturally, retaliated against the Nazis and crushed them, leaving their capital in ruins and their memory in shambles. It was no personal thing. It was a a retaliatory retribution against the Nazis which ended with the Soviet flag over the Reichstag & Hitler's corpse.
