The Obama camp is aware that Clinton told Canadian officials not too worry, that their anti-NAFTA stance was just rhetoric. They decided not to attack her about it because she would be exposed later. And they were right.
Instead of stooping to Clinton's level of lies, Hillary was forced to release her First Lady schedule archive, which proved she campaigned for NAFTA in the 90s. Then her chief strategist revealed he was working for Columbia and Bill was paid $800K from Columbia as well!

Ian Brodie has RESIGNED! Well ahead of the release of the report investigating NAFTA-gate!
Recall, that Ian Brodie is Canada's PM top advisor, who many have said was the one who started NAFTA-gate when he told reporters that it was Clinton's campaign that reassured them first.
Now that Hillary has no chance of winning and Obama is looking more like he has what it takes to beat McCain, the Canadian gov't is looking to do some damage control and mending fences.
Looks like Brodie's the fall guy!
