@jrgboy I agree, but I love the Kingston trio. My question if you know? You also had All my trials by the Turtles also Joan Baez. all my problems by the Turtles. all my hard times Joe South . Same tune almost same title are these all different songs. or one writer and these have been changed.
@moore9b As far as I know they are all the same tune with different words, rather like Brian Wilson used Chuck Berry's Sweet Little Sixteen tune for Surfing USA.
I just discovered this song recently and it is just beautiful!! Amazing harmony. Chris on high harmony -- they were totally amazing, weren't they! Much miss Chris and Tony. Music just doesn't get better than The Searchers! thanks for posting this and great pix, as well!! :-) RIP Chris and Tony. You will not be forgotten.
Ta. You must be right as I have the 'Sugar and Spice' album with this on, published '63. Alas, I copied this from a compilation which had it labelled as '64.
OMG and the world will end as we know it because you were 12 months off.....some people just TROLL Youtube looking for an opportunity to be just Bland and Rude....I thought it was about the music....it is for me.....I was not expecting such a great moving performance.....Thank you Sir B.....
MOOOOHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Seriously however, I would be happy if I knew where some of these singers come/came from...I'm sooooo much younger than you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Couldn't hep mysef!!!!) BRITISH ROYAL SCANDAL!!!!!!!!!
They were part of the Mersey sound, so they were from Liverpool or thereabouts. I saw them 10 years ago - part of the bill along with HELEN SHAPIRO, a little known British singer......I'm running for cover as I type.
Cum on, Helen was big, what a voice; pity she's not had a big come back these days - so far; what about Peter & Gordon ? I think one of them passed away - yet great memories of younger days
Great song!
