That does not really make sense. Chances are, it was fine live, but the person who released this video does poor post editing. The end result is something that is relatively tolerable to the ear, yet still all out of whack. It was said earlier by someone and it is true;a live recording only translates well to video when it is meant to be played on that medium. Otherwise the Engineers focus is on live mixing.

That's probably pretty much what happened, but there's only so much you can do with Youtube. This and Scumbag Blues suffer most on the transition to video, but when in reality, they were pitch perfect during the show (I went to their show in Seattle. Effing amazing)

I'm also guilty of underetimating Mr Johannes. After watching all these Cologne show vids, he's definitely got the chops to hold his own with these other better-known guys. No wonder they chose him to help them out. Also, I must say that when I listened to the album I didn't really pay attention to where guitar solos or bridges were, all the music just flows so smoothly from one part to the next. It's not verse-chorus-verse-solo-chorus­, it's just damn good music, start to finish, no apologies.
