  • Oh my God, how have I never seen this before? This was so good!

  • This made me teary eyed. Sivartis, have you ever read the Superman story "For the man who has everything" or watched the Star Trek episode "The Inner Light"? This was similar, but different enough that it stood on its own.

One thing that I have to ask, in a scenario like this, how does he keep functioning? Going by the number of books in his library, that's at least 7 lifetimes, after a while, he would have a hard time telling the difference between what was real and what wasn't.

  • OOOHHH, strange ending!! (3:44 onwards)

  • That was so awesome and beautiful. What an interesting idea.

    DFTBA

    and thank you.

  • I think I'm just a little late in watching this series, because the comments are soo old haha. But this has got to be one of the most amazing youtube series' ever. Thank you so much for making this :)

  • I really enjoyed this, and the end credits-- with all that extra video footage of Nate and Sam together -- added to it tremendously.

I also enjoy the thank-you to Nerdfighters. (:

    Yes.

DFTBA Travis, well, I doubt you'd ever forget anyway. Great job!

  • Thanks so much, I really appreciate the compliment!

  • oh it's so trajicaly beautiful! the greatest gift of life - and a lifetime of happyness - and yet such a powerfull curse - that he knows that lifetime is just outside his grasp...

  • It means so much to me that people actually get this. I was so worried that I was being way too subtext-y. :-)

  • that was some good shit my friend

  • pretty dope!

and at first it seemed sad but the guy's lived a lot of lives with a lot of women. some happy ones it seems. can't be all bad.

in the inevitable sequel i'm sure he'll meet a woman that saves the lives of men and they'll live happily ever after.

  • I love to cry at a good movie. He was so blessed and so tragic at the same time. He could live a lifetime with a multitude of people, have kids with them, grow old with them; but in the end none of them remember him. "They never do."

    Thanks, Travis.

  • Thank YOU. Seriously. This is the comment I talked about on this week's vlog. :-)

  • I knew it! I heard my name under your breath. lol I feel famous now!

  • Wow, I must admit, that was surprisingly good. You're a very talented actor, Travis, with a lot of potential to go far throughout your career.

Oh, and you're hot, lol. If only YouTube would allow you to show more... ;-)

  • Aw, thank you very much. I really hope I can do something meaningful in the industry and share the experience with people like you. I appreciate you watching and commenting.

  • Great short film Travis. It makes me smile to know that I have acted with you in the past. I am honored.

  • That's so sweet. You're an awesome friend, Jason. I'm the lucky one.

  • WOW!!

    Hugs,

  • It's a bit tragic, isn't it... Think of it this way: In the end, it's just a superhero movie. :-)

  • I hope there's more to this story! :)

    Thanks for sharing!

  • I've got an idea for a full-length sequel, but not without a budget :-)

  • Have a donation box somewhere? ;D

  • YAAAAAAAYYY!!!!!!

  • Wow Trav!

I just watched scenes 4,5 & 6 (amazingly I was able to patient so that I could watch them together).

Very intense! You must be really pleased with how it has turned out. You've done a great job of bringing it all together.

Hurray for nerdfighters in the credits - hoo haa.

Thanks for sharing with us here.

Where to from here for Another Life?

    Take care Trav -Debbie

(Why do my first comments keep getting eaten up??? grrrrrr)

  • Thank you Debbie, so much. That means so much to me. I'm incredibly happy with how it turned out, considering we had no budget at all with which to make it!

Not sure exactly how to proceed, I'm flying by the seat of my pants here...(in my pants?) Enter it in festivals using the website I talked about, but beyond that...??

  • Nerdfighters!

  • The nerdfighters remain an inspiration to me :-) thanks

    ~Trav

  • Hmm... did you film anything on the UCLA campus? At one point that sidewalk looks familiar.

  • Yes!! That's amazing that you recognize it, it was like a 2 second clip!
