  • His father in law says bob lost the fight of his life. In my opinion, that was the only fight the guy lost. He was a great enforcer and really kept the crowd going.

  • as a fan and player of hockey, The one thing that bums me out about his death is that he was a great enforcer and a fan favorite for the red wings, my favorite team, and probably many others, and yet i wasn't born yet at the time or I was too young to actually see him play/fight and fully grasp and appreciate his talent and grit. All I can sadly do now is watch videos on youtube of his prowess and dominance in battle, but never see him do it. RIP.

  • i love you daddy i miss you soooo much:(

  • i love you daddy

  • he was my friends uncle :(

  • everybody i know and i'm from northern canada, loved the guy, rough and burly on tyhe ice, but condolences to the family, gonna miss him.

  • Sad news indeed. He was a class act off the ice. He took extra time to take a few pictures with my son and I 2 yeras ago after an alumni game.Super nice guy..RIP BOB.

  • i saw him a gew weeks before at this nhl classic game that was touring through canada.

  • The NHL should retire 24 for Probert

  • Probert was the best NHL enforcer ever! RIP

  • @LeafsFlamesAndOilers AGREED 100%

  • @uberkrispy

I'll be looking for that same respect for the dead when u reply to a clip here in the future showing breaking news of Osama bin Laden's death. Just because a man dies, that doesn't automatically make him deserving of respect. When my country's president dies I'll be the first man pissing on his grave.

    @Brett: to each his own. Now go f u c k yourself!

  • RIP AND RESPECT FROM THE ST LOUIS BLUES FANS...

    BOB WAS HATED BUT LOVED.

  • RIP Bob. I was lucky enough to have met him and he signed my #24 jersey. So sad that he's gone.

  • I've met him. He came to my house....well outside..we had to drive him to the airport! Very nice guy. I have a signed card right here. I'll never forget the day I met him.

  • He was an enforcer. Arguably the best there ever was after Eddie Shack, who could boast over 200 goals to go with all those PIMs. And I never saw him lose a fight; not to kordic, Clark, Domi, MacSorley or anyone else.

That said, Probie was a goon and a thugster. He was a poor sport, a coke addict and a real prick asshole sore excuse for a han being. Wouldn't be surprised if he O/D'd this time. For what it's worth, R. I. P.

  • @seesheirf

You are the sore excuse for a human (unlike you I am able to spell it) being dirt bag. He was no prick asshole nor a poor sport. Off the ice Bob Probert was a gentleman unlike yourself.

  • @seesheirf Even with internet anonymity why not show some class? The dude is dead, best just to rermember the good times when someone dies.

Its called class, respect...look it up in the dictionary, cunt

  • I got to met Probert when I was like seven. I remember being scared because all l saw was him kick the crap out of people on TV. He looked down at me and gave a huge smile and the was a black hole where his teeth should have been. I got his autograph and he was super nice. God rest your soul! You will be greatly missed

  • put simply...

    Bob Probert = LEGEND!

  • My condolences to his family.

  • May he rest in peace!!!
