1977 to 1982 UFO WERE AS BID AS ANYBODY UNFORTUNATLEY HEAVY ROCK WAS STRUGGLING TO STAY AFLOAT ONLY THE BEST STAYED ALIVE,, AC/DC RAINBOW / RUSH/ OZZY/ SABBATH/ VAN HALEN ECT........
Classic tune from UFO. Schenker will always be the guitarist for them. But Chapman did a great job when he was in the band. He doesn't get credit the era with Paul is so underrated and it also rocks too.
South Bend 1981 show I was there also..Seems like River City Records had them play the Morris every year ..Pete Kernan must have like them..I have pics somewhere ..Great band..Cort
A funny thing is that although Mechanix was, with Strangers in the Night, UFO's biggest album, this song was only a minor hit single. We thought it would be huge. Anyway, that hardly matters - it's brilliant, and that's more important.
Me and some friends met Phil Mogg and Pete Way in an alley behind the Morris Civic Auditorium in South Bend, IN in 1981 during their "The Wild, the Willing and the Innocent" Tour. They were walking out to their tour bus after the show. Very freindly. Let us take some photos. Pete was in a hurry but Phil let us take some photos. Very cool. The guy has total class.
i love this band what is so great also my friend vinnie moore is the guiltas now i grow up with him my first concert was ufo with cheap trick feb 21 1981 and then i saw april 26 1982 with ozzy osborne they were great both times the concert was in philadelphia at the spectrum long live the spectrum
when i was a teenager UFO was my alternative rock selection. I listened to this song 100s of times. this band in my humble opinion is the most underated band of all time. they are anything and everything a good rock band should be. thanks
UFO have several proffesionally filmed Chapman gigs sitting in the vaults of EMI/Abbey Rd. They also recorded the Hammy-O gigs in 83 for a farewell live record. But, the record co decided to do that awful Headstone record with just "side 4" live from the shows. Hopefully EMI will see fit to put this out at sometime before the boat has well and truly sailed.
Great footage, this was the original promo video shot for the Mechanix record.
@taff622 I'm fascinated to hear that ~ U.F.O. were at their peak thru the late-seventies//early-eighties, so, ANY quality footage is worth it's weight in Gold for U.F.O. fans !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@unravelled1962 That semi acoustic guitar looks worse. Definately not a get up on stage and rock out look unless you're Ted Nugent.

Saw Them In 1982. At Capital center, D.C. When this Album Came Out. They Were
Opened for AC/DC. Sadly, M. Schenker has left The band. Anyway, Paul Chapman
Were Great Too. I Always Like this Band Ever since They came Out. They Got Class, Style,Attitude, Oh Yeah. Of Course, Their Music.
