I know it isnt him, if you knew anything about these vehicles and how 4WD actually works you would relise it was in 4 wheel drive but the open differential's was the reason it was stuck... If one wheel is in the air and not touching ground all power goes to that wheel and the other wheel even if its on the ground wont move... Thats an open differential.

If the differential was locked it wouldnt matter. Now run along dumbass

people get stuck... i see it all the time FORD sucks, Chey sucks, jeep sucks.. and i can find a video of both the jeep, chey and ford stuck... and people put down on them because they get stuck.. well BIG DEAL ! getting stuck is part of off roading and it happens to even the best of people and trucks.. it dont matter what you drive.. im just happy to own a 4x4 of any type.

lol i have a ZJ also and i only put it 4lo for pullin others out, i never have to put it 4lo otherwise never been stuck. but really close to it =)

OK so this guy needs to figure out that the ZJ sucks in AWD.

How do I know? I have one, and anytime I leave the street I put it Locked 4 Lo.

Otherwise the center diff is a Viscus type limited slip.

This means that it is rwd, until you really spin the rear tires, only then does the center diff start to sent power forward.

Cliff Notes: Put it in 4Lo when you are in the dirt.

thats only if you have the np 243 transfer case i got a grand cherokee with the np 249 trans full time 4x4 its 50 power to front 50 to rear all time and mine will go through damn near anything that doesn't catch my diffs

The quadra drive jeeps wont do that. My overland switches power away from the spinnin wheels and can lock both axles if all spin

the street term for that is "lockers" and they are expensive

quadra drive doesn't use lockers, they are limited slips. i guess they have some fangdangled abs-based traction control. did you know that jms9618?

PS: if all 4 wheels are spinning at the same time, the axles ARE locked. open or ltd-slip diffs won't do that

i noticed that in the quadra youtube vids that it would slip for a little bit before it actually got traction to move, unlike with lockers that would just power through it.
