  • Só tirou 1 seg. !

Não dá pra negar, ele é sim um dos melhores pilotos do mundo!

  • And remember. That part of the season, Williams was already far better than McLaren.

  • O.M.F.G i love you man great VID !!!! :D

  • That car, that driver and the engine noise is giving me a hard time.

  • dammit, that honda v12 is a goosebumpy thing. this must be the best sound in F1 ever

  • you can really hear the famous Senna Blip on this video

  • @ 1:34 perhaps a slight pucker moment ....... the sound of that Honda gives me a chubby

  • @bretoff but 1:02 is the best part.

  • @zackjr

yeah, concerning the exhaust note, the way he grabs that gear coming out of the corner @ 1:02 is awesome, and then before that @ 0:57 he's going down that short chute and grabs the next gear & goes into the left-hander flat out, sounds/looks so great.

  • 160 MPH through Eau Rouge, two cars in my way, it was so fast the camera missed it.

  • Can you listen how in the corners the sound up and down much more than others cars. Thats because senna used the break up and down much more than others. Thats what specialists have realized looking the charts.

  • and FIA wants to go from this to 4 cyl turbos. WHAT.....THE....FUCK

  • 1:33 EPIC FEARLESS!

  • epic lap

  • Wow what a lap! I think this time is only 3-4 sceonds off the fastest V10 time before they changed the chicane for 2007.

  • @MattMK45

i like how you noticed the time difference, i would say that the most impressive and on the limit lap ever of spa was this one, times are important to us,, i couldnt and never will care which f1 went around here 3 seconds quicker :)

    all the best.

  • Trackside video from Canadian GP '93: watch?v=V63Exm4nDs

  • No music.........thank you thank you thank you

  • Cioè 20anni fa girava più o meno sugli stessi tempi delle F1 di oggi???? Incredibile....

  • 1:30

Unbelifable balls, to drive through this would be deadly, if there would be a car or only a part of it (wheels, wings, etc.).

    RIP Senna

    Best Ever

  • @X8X8X8X8X8X8X8X8X8X Very brave, indeed. Raikkonen did the same thing in 2002, also at Spa. Why does it always happen at Spa LOL

  • ooooo mmmmmmmm gggggggggooooooodddddddddddddddddddd

  • what a sound cant believe it was never no.1 in charts:)

  • And Todt wants 4Cyl inline turbos? What comes after that? Single cylinder grocery carts? This lap is unreal.

  • @HollywoodWags in actuality the MP4/4 was running a 1.5L 6cyl turbos back in 88 and they sounded great. this MP4/6 was running a V12. i don't think the distinctive F1 howl will not be lost when they switch to 1.6L 6cyl turbos for 2014.

  • G.O.A.T.

  • 1:33 = Balls of Steel

  • 1991 - Ayrton Senna - 1min47s8

    2011 - Sebastian Vettel -1min48s298

  • @ZeZeBatata69 But this year was on a humid track. =)

  • @ZeZeBatata69 2011 = 600hp 1991 = 800hp and... SENNA !!!

  • @ZeZeBatata69 Ayrton Senna may be the best driver of all time, but your comparisons are stupid. Track layout and regulations change, and Vettel did it in 1min47s263 in 2009 anyway

  • @ZeZeBatata69 different track layout at the bus stop. And the cars have been consistently slowed since '94. Still great footage, though. The sound's incredible.

  • @MrWillywillmore The old bus stop made the track bigger...

  • @SennaHamilton4ever did it? They were doing 1:43s in 2002, the last year of that layout, They're doing 1:47s with the new layout.

  • @Breed86 Yes, and that shows how fast Senna was. He does a 1.47, just 4 sec off the pace of a 11 year younger car

  • @SennaHamilton4ever ... 1991 car's chassis were terrible !!!

  • @zackjr Terrible? Are u nuts? Do u think that a championship winning car had a terrible chassis? U gotta stop smoking man

  • @SennaHamilton4ever .. for sure those cars were too inferior in chassis comparing with cars today. If it wasnt the truth, f1 cars would keep the front of the cars. Actually, after that Benneton (the shark) and Tyrrel, the first cars to really change the front of the cars, every team started to change that too. Today, EVERY car use that king of front. Senna, unfortunatly, never drove a car with these king of chassis.

  • @Breed86 ... so senna would do 1:42 in 2002's cars.

  • @ZeZeBatata69 2002 - Michael Schumacher - 1 min 43.726 seconds.

  • @ZeZeBatata69 Yes true but the bus stop chicane was quicker in 1991 ...

  • @CanYurGameTV ... thats what i was going to say. Im a real fa of senna, but the chicane was quicker.

  • Comment removed

  • meu deus...RIP

  • mesmerizing...

  • Thank you very much for not putting music in this video

  • breathtaking

  • STAYED TOTALLY FLAT THROUGH THE DUST AFTER BLANCHIMONT. NO FEAR.

  • @synchead he is our fearless warrior #prasempresenna

  • When I'm feeling sad I always watch this clip. You know what? I feel even more sad afterwards lol. Why the hell have we lost this guy?!

  • If only F1 engines sounded like this these days. Please. Man & machine in perfect harmony. Awesome. Genius. Sublime. THE GREATEST. AYRTON SENNA.

  • If only F1 engines sounded like this these days. Please.

  • Love it. Not a word of commentary, just the sight of Ayrton on the limit, without fear, and the sound of that V12 Honda. Pure magic.

  • I could tell that it's Ayrton Senna blindfolded. Just by the way he uses the throttle in the corners. Fantastic.

  • the down shifting sound is amazing!

  • Best and loudest ENGINE EVER!!! It's so loud it blocked the audio of the camera at 0:25.

  • @ChuckNorrisOfF1 those where the peak moments of f1 concerning engines the "monsters" and manual shifts ^^

    now thats driving

  • I can imagine a little kid standing on the sideline @ 1:29. He must of been like " daddy that sounded cool" (when that crappy car went by), and when Senna went past the kid would probably say "oh wait a second *senna goes past*, HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • I wish I were old enough to have witnessed this fantastic lap...

  • Does anyone knows if there is a on bard clip of that lap? Thanks.

  • impressive slide on busstop entry !!

  • that engine sounds incredible, Mclaren Honda V12, especially down the high speed straight at the end

  • But how can you estimate a time by sectors?

  • Anybody noticed that this is kinda fake? at 1:41 the target time is 1:47.811... if you wait till the cam changes (1:45) the target time changes to 1:48.878 which he beats then by 1.065 seconds which gives him a 1:47.813 For me this looks like he didn't beat the best time or am i wrong?

I'm no senna hater or something just noticed that...

  • @F1WRL i just noticed that there myself.

thought it was strange that it said he beat the time by 1.065 seconds when the time i saw was actually .002 seconds faster than his lap lol

  • @alamre Thanks god i didn't get a flame reply :-D Anybody got history statistics from that year if he really got pole?

  • @F1WRL maybe it was a computerized estimation of the lap, followed by the tiume to beat. Just speculating here. ;)

  • @buckyer You are probably right! Just thought the same...

  • @F1WRL

You're right, this is not the pole lap. But the time he tries to beat in this lap is his own. And this was the pole time at the end of the session : 1:47.811

  • @F1WRL yeah, but the time of 1:41.811 is a time of his own. He was trying to beat his own time... and at the end of the section he was on pole with this time.

  • This was Spa before they butchered many of the corners. Now Spa is merely a good track, not a great one. In my opinion :)

    Great video.

  • I wish ayrton senna could drive this modern technological car. i just wonder. he is a racing driver that have own book of racing lines, and doesnt follow the book like other racing drivers do, he just found it naturally where to place his car on the racing line.

  • Beautiful car

  • 8 0

    OMG

    8 0

THAT is what an F1 car is supposed to sound like, and that is what a grand prix driver is supposed to do.

  • the only real F1 car period! :)

  • It would be funny if the race cars were actually silent, and it was the commentators making those noises.

  • 1:47:813 at 1991

    1:45:778 at 2010

senna really did push the car to its limit in this amazing track.

  • @hihohihohihohi realize that the bus stop chicane is now imo faster than the old one

  • the best! the car sound rulez

  • The Best Driver EVER!

  • one second... loool the greatest....

  • i remember reading in a magazine article that "Ayrton Senna at times drove so fast, it was as if he was possessed by a demon.." and after seeing this i know its true. he drove like his life depended on it or something, its absolutely unreal. i can see why everyone says he's the greatest.

  • I love how the audio cuts out around 0:28. Almost as if the audio equipment can't handle the greatness of that Honda V12!

  • I like the sounds of this video I watch many times I loss count now jeje :^D

  • I've never seen anything better in my whole life... in any aspect... this is simply incredible... it's literally out of this world... I think Senna would like to hear that about his performance... wow, what a loss at Tamburello in 1994...

  • ONLY ONE THING TO SAY: WAW!!!!

  • he got more than 1 second in the last sector, WOW

  • Amazing third sector!

  • Did you hear that as he went through eau rouge? Very quietly I heard the course cry "RAPE!!!"

  • superbe bruit du moteur honda

et un tour incroyable de MAGIC SENNA

  • That sound is just epic. Love it.

  • his driving is purely art.

  • i am in love with that sound omg

  • Como o Senna voou ali no rasgo do Eau Rouge. Esse motor Honda rugia alto!

  • mclaren honda now thats something u dont hear eveyday

  • Yes but this was when honda was the best... they could make anything...Honda maked rockets

  • @jraybay williams renault was the better car in 1991

  • er I sayd this was when honda ws the best. they dont have much success after this :\ .

  • THIS is flying lap !

  • Essa McLaren Honda de 91 voava demais!!!

  • to say senna would never be remembered is the most stupid thing i've ever heard. its also an insult to me and all the senna fans the world over. what an idiot. senna R.I.P

  • GOD!

  • Senna on the limit in the MP4-6, the best sound in f1 history!!!

  • wow, this engines are monsters!

  • "Ayrton Senna the single driver in the world"

  • Ayrton Senna has been the all time greatest f1 driver, everyone that realy knows the f1 knows that..

  • @rathermmshort poor ignorant...

  • @josecho24: dito!

  • @rathermmshort

do you have an explanation why is Rosberg kickin Schumi's ass every week?

  • @xpandia: i don´t understand your question? i wrote something about the past, not the present! currently nico is quicker, you´re right. but what has my comment to do with the season 2010???

  • @rathermmshort

...you seem to know everything so i thought lets ask him why is this happening he might know...do you know why is he faster?Schumi forgot how to drive?

  • @rathermmshort And for sure Schumacher never got a pole when Senna was on the track. And what's about the illegal fuel system of Benetton? The traction control that the FIA found in the Benetton? Briatore swore that they never used it. And everything Briatore said was the truth. He and Benetton (later Renault) never cheated. Right? That's why he got suspended. And you forget that Schumacher killed Hills car in the final after he crashed his own car into the wall. He knew his race was over.

  • bla bla bla!

we will never know what would have happened if he hadn't died...but it's a fact that schumacher had an illegal car in 94!

And another fact:how many poles did schumacher have till may 1st 1994?

and to say that senna wouldn't be remembered anymore...just shows you've no idea what you are talking about!

  • @rathermmshort,you are an idiot

We all know that Schumi won so many titles because of the car and his nr 1 status in Ferrari

HOW CAN THE BEST DRIVER BE BEATEN ON DAILY BASES BY A DRIVER WHO HASNT WON A GP????IN THE SAME CAR!!!!

Schumi is the driver whit most victories and Senna is the best driver-the end

and stop crying about Schumi he will never be as good as Senna

  • 1.065 faster? how he do that!? and is only 2 seconds off of 2004 record by Kimi raikkonen but Kimi has the better chassis than senna D:

  • Pena que nem deu tempo para mim ver o Senna nas pistas era muito pequeno, mas tenho certeza que foi um dos maiores ídolos do Brasil! E ele também era um brasileiro orgulhoso, todas as corridas que ganhava colocava a bandeira do Brasil para fora do carro! Valew Ayrton

  • Woo... Pole con mucho transito en la pista, y le saco mas de 1 segundo... impresionante ..

  • That Honda V12 sounded evil.

  • man love it how fast that guy can change gear... hear the sound, and compare it with the clutch sound of a nowadays flippergear shifter... almost the same speed!

    Senna, the man...

  • That thing was a clutch?!?! WOW!!!

  • @xxboubaxx ...like everyone else

  • "This video has been added to your favorites"

  • This cars had to be driven from true men.Nowadays some kids with some experience from some playstations or simulators can drive these toy cars...:( Miss this times so much...true F1 has gone forever.

  • Flat out through a dust cloud in Blanchimont ! One of the fastest part of the circuit...

Greatest pilot of all times. With Mika Hakkinen... : )

  • the perfect round, this is f1 racing, i wish, i only can dream F1 that it is what it was, i wish this was future not passed.

  • That has to be the greatest pole position lap ever!!!

    Total commitment.

  • I love the aggressive sound of the Honda V12.

  • @Arianovich no, thats a V12 you are hearing in this video

  • I thot was v10.

  • @jraybay it is definitly a V12 and not V10. V10 engines of the time had a much lower pitched sound than this.

  • Yes honda and cosworth have always make the best sounds for formula 1 :D . Honda I wish they still in formula 1 .

  • BRM V16 from 1951

    Matra V12 from 1972

    Ferrari Boxer12 from 1970-79

All really cool sounding F1 engine.

  • @Eric0816

    That is truly an anthem!

  • Traffic at Raidillon and in the straight after Stavelot, and dust right after Blanchimont, yet he gets pole by over a second?

    Just ridiculous

  • Indeed! What a margin!Senna was something different from other drivers! His performance was otherworldy..it scares me watching him driving to the limit...He makes all the others look like amateurs

  • Absolutely unbelievable....because he was only 0.029 sec up at Stavelot, so he made up a second through Blanchimont, a dust cloud, Bus Stop and the run down to La Source!!!

I love the blip-blip-blip on the throttle that Senna uses through corners...He used this technique to keep up the turbo boost in the early days, but it was also very effective in a normally aspirated car.

  • Greatest driver in the last real drivers cars

  • This is two different videos spliced together at 1:45

  • @willski1221 this is A. Senna ;)

  • @willski1221 this is Senna man, only God can beat him

  • @gateontheroom No... No, sorry... God can not...

  • @gateontheroom No... No, sorry... God can not... For Senna was a living god and god has always been just god.

  • @willski1221 You are right, but check a comparison between Senna/1991 and Schumacher/2000 (the years may be wrong, but I'm almost sure) laps in Monza. 10 years of technology advance, yet Senna makes most corners ahead of Schumacher, and in the end the lap times are basicaly the same. Now, that is ridiculous.

  • こだまするホンダv12エンジン。操るセナの渾身の走り。最高だ。

  • What I want to know more than anything is how he could have driven through that dust cloud at 1:34 at full throttle. Just total focus, wow.

  • t00 bad I never watched him race live or on tv. But at least I can say I saw some greats like Schumi, mika not J. vill or alonso, their heads seem to have grown bigger ever since they were crown world champ

  • Real Man at the wheel

  • G.O.A.T.

    Greatest Of All Time

  • this isn't a video of raikkonen

  • You can't be serious. Raikkonen the greatest? Are you high on something?

  • well i never saw senna race

  • That's the problem lol. Kimi is very talented, but Senna was from another planet. There is no comparison. What happened to Kimi in 08 never happened to Senna during his career. He never had to watch a teammate compete for a championship. He was ALWAYS ahead of every teammate he has ever had, except when he and Prost teamed together, and there was little between the two. Kimi is not even in the same league with these guys.

  • i only started watching f1 in 2003 Montoya had the talent to become a f1 legend but he made to many mistakes

  • True but I watched Montoya during the CART days (before the downfall of American open wheel). He showed the potential there. Its just life, he did well in F1 and he's an awesome driver. I really hoped Juan would beat Kimi at Mclaren but I'm a fan of both.

  • The Grandmaster at work. He was truly 'magic'.

His exceptional qualities were noticed right away by every acknowledgeable person in motorsports.

  • To all those who wonder why, I LOVED Ayrton, consider this. He lost time in two pivital sections of the Spa track, navagating traffic at Eau Rouge, and the Bus Stop chicane, and still was 1.065 seconds a lap quicker then the previous pole time!! Traffic ruined his lap? NO! Maybe Lewis Hamilton et al should sit up and take notice. Senna was a legend. FACT

  • Yes, and yes.

  • Greatest of all time. Throwin it down.

  • o homem mais rapido da história da F1

  • The master of driving beyond flat-out.

  • DAMN, 144MPH average speed!

  • This is what f1 cars need to look like a sound like. They should implement all the latest safety that is used today but in terms of car design and engines you cant beat the cars of this era. They sure were a sight to see and unbelieable sounds of the engines.

  • Excuse me PERFECTION

  • Its called PERECTION

  • Woooha! 1 second in the last sector despite running through a cloud of dust. And his typical awesome babababam during mid-cornering.

  • Amazing lap, just a second slower than Montoya's 2005 pole lap and the bus stop chicane 3 years ago was a little more open than the one from 1991.

  • Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!

He overtook 4 cars in his fastest lap, there was dust in the track before the bus-stop - he couldn´t see nothing ahead, n even thus he got the pole! MAGIC SENNA!!!!
