there is a difference between garbage (pollution) and CO2. i would rather take those billions of dollars used for research in the CO2 impact on the environment and spend them on cleaning our planet. that would make sense. i don`t like spending billions of dollars on weather predictions. weather is far to complex for us to fully predict even with all the money in the world. why don`t they spend money on preparing for weather change? we know it will happen with or without our help.

The earth is not overpopulated. Maybe a city or town is but the solution in that case is to move, not halt the population. If global warming isn't real the worst that can happen by adopting policies that "they" say is beneficial, is people dieing. i.e. the food riots caused by inaccessible prices in poorer regions, a consequence of converting a third of world food crops to biofuel. Internet language can be cold, so let me assure that I'm saying all this with no hostility.

@trenton9 - no hostility percieved, you're entitled to your opinion. People ARE dying of starvation and it has nothing to do with biofuel. Sharing is a problem, and that has nothing to do with population. My personal issue with the population (aside from how much material we convert into toxins) is the fragility of our gigantic system structures more than body proximity. It's difficult to separate these connected issues into short comments. =P

Yes, people have been starving since the beginning of time. However, the increased clamor for food as of recent, can factually be traced to the conversion of farms that once contributed to food being instead converted to biofuel production, which in turn caused a rise in worldwide food prices.

Content is decent, work on your presentation. Also, what's the motivation to act now? You argue that, if GW were fake, we're still polluting. So? So a million years from now we're gonna kill ourselves - that doesn't inspire anyone to act now. I agree with everything you said, but I think our cause needs something with more inspiration.

@azguard98 - Perhaps I didn't get accross clear enough that change takes a long time and should be started as soon as a problem is seen. Are global warming stats 'doctored' to look more pressing than they are for the purpose of getting a fire under people because we like to ignore the dripping faucet until we're drowning? I think saying we're going to drown in 10 years when it's really 20 is detrimental because it can be shown as false, then it gets ignored. For the record - THIS IS URGENT! =)

Nice video. You have a clear and pleasent way of expressing yourself. But you seem to falsely assume that global warming skeptics oppose a cleaner environment. If this were true, then folks like me would be more than wrong; we would be bad. Of course, we don't want to waste or pollute anything. We don't want to spoil the world for our kids. But we also don't want to rob our children of their human liberties either. Remember: There are greater dangers in the world than plant food/CO2..

Excellent video I agree with you.  So in response to Al Gore, this is NOT a political issue. We need to live a clean lifestyle and the change starts with us as individuals and the private sector of business. Government sucks as a problem solver. I would never trust them on an issue such as environment because there are WAY too many factors in such a complex system. Conspiracies exist because of conspirators not conspiracy theorists. The theorists are just the ones looking for the truth.

I agree with you. I can see both arguments, but I lean on the side of "it's Solar activity" being the MAJOR reason for global warming. My reason for promoting this side of the debate is I believe some scientists are falsifying their studies (to be on the bandwagon for self interest), which goes back to your "Dirty Rotten Liar" video.

BUT: I agree we live in a bubble, one we should keep as clean as possible, as well as running our society on a finite resource (ie oil) is extremely narrowminded.

The solar system is warming, it's not just our planet. The ice of Saturn is melting too, and you can't blame that on man. We are approaching the galatic gravitational disk and this is warming our planets, but this is the least of your consern.

I do love the sci fi. =) or the sci. tru. haha... I agree that the warmth, regardless of why is the least of concerns presently. Overpopulation and overuse of resourses will cause greater trouble faster, and so we must trouble ourselves with this more than the why of the heat.

We know the why and you just said it yourself. Addressing the integral problem is a step forward in doing something about it: overuse/misuse of resources.

It's important to know the why, because it beckons the distinction between whether or not we actually have a choice in doing something about it. We do have a choice.

I agree with your principles here but I do believe that carbon levels do not create shifts in climate. H2o on the other hand does. That doesn't mean that we don't need to find a way to coexist in harmony with are current planet. There are 100s of serious environmental disasters going on right now, most of them caused by the corporate/military monster and not for our luxurious benefit either. And they're using carbon (a life building block) to eventually take away rights to human life.

I agree with most of what you said. But like all things a wait and see attitude is taken. The future can not, I am personally lying here, predicted. So there is no fore sight to prepare for the possibility of a problem.

The Government will only do what the minority might want. Not what the masses want. Most folks, as it sits, does what is available to them to participate in.
