  • @hellopeps140 Probably you watched the first Karate Kid film (a whole lot better than the 2010 film for me)

Well, as for me, I heard it in the film "The Pianist"

  • @Mugenloserhead I agree with you on your opinion on the Karate Kid. I first heard it in band. A fellow student was playing it on piano and from there I was hooked :]

I also did hear it on The Pianist. That's what made me look up this piece again x]

  • hahaha i like it! like what i've heard in karate kid

  • Soul touching and breathing taking.

  • i think if i played this on the violin im going to freak out my fingers will be in pain and i think i will be so nervous if i recite this in front of my violin teacher i quit a long time ago !! ^ ^ <<

  • it's a lullaby for those going to heaven

  • His opuses are actually like poems.

  • Whoop de doo if you heard this before the karate kid! Point is this song is beautiful regardless

  • Old piano music means a lot to me. I just love it. It's like listening to an old history story that will never be forgotten.

  • this music puts me in a strange calm i dont know how its the only music that does it to me its like when i hear this playing i just want to close my eyes and stand in place forever

  • essa musica é uma das mais lindas que eu escutei!

  • I hate to brake it but that dude in the pic is hideous ... ik it was back in those days but ... EWW!

  • @lovebri2010 Don't forget that the image in the video is merely an image, and not an actual photo. What do you find disgusting about it anyway? For many other people, it is the representation of one of the most amazing pianists in the world.

  • who cares if people found it in the karate kid... people have to find it somewhere!

  • I cant stop listening to this.

  • if you are an actor or an actress and having a hard time crying on a scene. have this on your ipod you can keep up with al pacino or meryl streep...

cant explain but brings tears to my eyes each time i hear it.

  • that was just......(cant even describe it)

  • I find it amazing that i am only 16 and yet ive listened and can identify more classical pieces than my... older counterparts.

  • @TheAkonhater u must not be familiar with the female race.

  • This sounds so much better with Strings than the piano as the violin have a special sad feeling when played

  • 0:17 Shivers down my spine as to how powerful this piece truly is.

  • why does it bring tears to my eyes ewery time i listen to this song ?

  • @norbette cuz your a bitch

  • I've got a pretty large collection of Chopin's works. Made me fell in love with the violin. Masterpiece!

  • my mother used to play this on the piano or the violin for me, im glad she did its one of my favorites of Chopin

  • 2 people are tone deaf....

  • me 2! i founf it by the sondtrack of karate kid

  • almost all girl cry when watching karate kid in cinema..

    even my gf..omg..

  • I had heard it many years ago from a friends father who played Classical music all the time. Just heard it again in a small independent film called "Strangers in Good Company" and it was just full of the the classics. Absolutely beautiful, especially on piano alone.

  • anyone know where could i find this sheet music for violin?? please, i really want to play it!!!

  • The point isn't where the music was found, but rather that it was found at all. Especially in an unlikely place when not being looked for, yet it made such an impression to send someone on a journey to find it. The fact that it is now appreciated and understood is what is important. Perhaps we should be thanking the Karate Kid for leading people to a piece such as this, that otherwise would have gone unnoticed.

  • For every one that has good taste but is stupid : This is NOT a SONG it is a PIECE.

  • Contradiction^ ahahahhah

  • i heard this piece before and used to play violin but after seeing karate kid, i finally got to know the name of this glorious piece!

  • buwaaaaaaa1! i'm gunu grurayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy "Bullul"

  • This song is so beautiful and inspiring... It makes me wanna cry and dance to this marvelous tune.. What kind of person would dislike this?.. That 1 person who disliked this must have been crying so hard that his computer malfunctioned and clicked dislike... Because if the person clicked dislike, Then he has no taste in this heavenly music. When I die... I would like this song to be played.

  • @michaelmyers43293 u see what happened was dat person loved it so much that dey clicked the dislike button instead of like

  • @michaelmyers43293 excellent request... but you'll have all eternity and beyond to learn it yourself and play it after your funeral ;)

  • I'm proud I didn't find this song because of the Karate Kid but because I love Chopin. It's amazing, but I like the piano version more though.

  • Hoooooooo Guys, This is Feeling and pure love

  • Um, this song was actually in a movie in 2002 "The Pianist."

  • Fuck Karate Kid. Summer Glau danced to this on the Terminator TV show!

  • Where can I find the MP3 or what CD might I find this version? I only have the all piano version...

  • This makes me wanna cry.....

  • @MrOracleman Beat. The very last seconds of the song, though, give me the feeling of "Everything's going to be ok."

  • IT IS AMAZING!! the peace and the vibe that this song gives is something I've never found in a song... I feel like crying of too much peace :) I know, it sounds silly, but...it's just incredible...

  • my god! this song is so beautiful it makes me wanna die!

  • OMG you american people are retards, if it wasnt for a shitty remake of Karate Kid you wouldnt know about Chopin.. Its sad.

  • and what's wrong with knowing it now?

You don't have to be so rude......

  • Comment removed

  • @cesar75006 don't be pissed your green card got denied!

  • @cesar75006 Way to generalize all Americans.

=/ I've known about Chopin since I started playing piano 7 years ago. Because there aren't millions of children who play piano and/or violin in the States that would know this piece........

If anyone's a retard, it's the people whining because they "knew of the piece before anyone else". Ween off the tit and get over it.

  • @iMapleSyrupi dats tru coz it waz composed in da 1800s so many ppl would kno b4 u would

  • Just beautifull!

  • Simplemente... el mejor!

  • it's amazing and magical song

  • The pianist - piano version

  • @njgothgirl yea i know! when i was watching thatw movie, i thought that it didn't look right~ (:

  • as soon as i listened to the girl in the karate kid, i felt the emotion and her facial expression in harmony with this piece. and it moved me by this beautiful song.

  • @atan132 me to,i was soo amazed,it was such a beautiful song

  • It is sad that you have to watch Karate Kid to learn about this amazing piece.

  • @ThrashSamurai i listen to a lot of great classical pieces. i also found this through the karate kid but hey its a great piece. whats wrong about classical music fans fining music through movies?

  • @ThrashSamurai Since when is discovering beautiful music sad?

  • @ThrashSamurai Its so true. Believe it or not, I have discovered a lot of great classical music from movies though. All my music theory classes play the same crap that we all hear all the time...its sad really.

  • @ashto @ashto when you have free time pass me to some song pls:x..because im a huge fan..of classical music..:x.thx.maybe i will show you some songs to

  • @ThrashSamurai It is sad, it's such a beautiful piece. Everyone should know about this.

  • @ThrashSamurai i agree.

  • @ThrashSamurai

Some kids don't have the privilege to grow up with music like this. You should feel lucky that Karate Kid introduced so many kids to it and that so many like it, as you now have a new group of people you can relate to and educate about music.

  • @ThrashSamurai batter late then never

  • @ThrashSamurai

Its a good thing! not sad... the more people learn about this beautiful piece the better in my opinion.....

  • @ThrashSamurai

True that by the means by which they learn of it is bad, but it is a good thing that they learn at least learn of it.

  • @ThrashSamurai Some of us have known about it for decades.

  • @Baronstone

My comment was originally directed towards a user who found this song watching Karate Kid.

It does not apply to others who knew of it before :)
