I've been searching all over for this particular version since (Don't shoot me, okay?) Karate Kid 2010. So thanks for posting this. Not exactly the same piece as from the film, but I like this better.
I have always been a fan of Chopin... but have never come across this particular piece before watching the new Karate Kid... I'm really glad I found it tho because it is moving and so powerful.
WOW HOLY CRAP!! this song is so powerful! just the sound that the violin has is incredible! the piano in the back ground just makes the song come to life! this piece. i have heard it so many times and it just gets better every time that i listen to it! This song can and will take you to a new world!
@Mugenloserhead I agree with you on your opinion on the Karate Kid. I first heard it in band. A fellow student was playing it on piano and from there I was hooked :]
I also did hear it on The Pianist. That's what made me look up this piece again x]
i think if i played this on the violin im going to freak out my fingers will be in pain and i think i will be so nervous if i recite this in front of my violin teacher i quit a long time ago !! ^ ^ <<
this music puts me in a strange calm i dont know how its the only music that does it to me its like when i hear this playing i just want to close my eyes and stand in place forever
we may be living in a modern world, but the kind of songs/music we have nowadays can never ever beat this. i know we have many types of music, but this one is a divine exception, not to be compared with anything.
this really makes me want to learn how to play the violin....such an incredible song.....absolutly love it! so wat i only know of it because of karate kid im 17 years old in the 21st century to much music to listen to to b able to acually pick this out of alll of it lol
@lovebri2010 Don't forget that the image in the video is merely an image, and not an actual photo. What do you find disgusting about it anyway? For many other people, it is the representation of one of the most amazing pianists in the world.
I had heard it many years ago from a friends father who played Classical music all the time. Just heard it again in a small independent film called "Strangers in Good Company" and it was just full of the the classics. Absolutely beautiful, especially on piano alone.
The point isn't where the music was found, but rather that it was found at all. Especially in an unlikely place when not being looked for, yet it made such an impression to send someone on a journey to find it. The fact that it is now appreciated and understood is what is important. Perhaps we should be thanking the Karate Kid for leading people to a piece such as this, that otherwise would have gone unnoticed.
This song is so beautiful and inspiring... It makes me wanna cry and dance to this marvelous tune.. What kind of person would dislike this?.. That 1 person who disliked this must have been crying so hard that his computer malfunctioned and clicked dislike... Because if the person clicked dislike, Then he has no taste in this heavenly music. When I die... I would like this song to be played.
IT IS AMAZING!! the peace and the vibe that this song gives is something I've never found in a song... I feel like crying of too much peace :) I know, it sounds silly, but...it's just incredible...
=/ I've known about Chopin since I started playing piano 7 years ago. Because there aren't millions of children who play piano and/or violin in the States that would know this piece........
If anyone's a retard, it's the people whining because they "knew of the piece before anyone else". Ween off the tit and get over it.
Did anyone else notice that the little girl on Karate Kid wasn't actually playing? She was still in first position for the high note that should be played in third on the E.
as soon as i listened to the girl in the karate kid, i felt the emotion and her facial expression in harmony with this piece. and it moved me by this beautiful song.
@ThrashSamurai i listen to a lot of great classical pieces. i also found this through the karate kid but hey its a great piece. whats wrong about classical music fans fining music through movies?
@ThrashSamurai Its so true. Believe it or not, I have discovered a lot of great classical music from movies though. All my music theory classes play the same crap that we all hear all the time...its sad really.
