I was actually only checking this video out to see if there was a big visual difference between fl studio 7, and fl studio 9. I use cubase. but I must say you're a pretty good teacher, nice job.
Let´s say i use 3 different synths on a lead, and i want one automation clip that automates the cutoff off all three synths at the same time? is this possible? and how?
once you've set the cutoff automation for one synth go to the next synth in your layer and right click the cutoff there and select 'Link to Controller' from there select the automation clip you used before, repeat this for the next synth too
What you NEED to do is put together a FULL video tutorial and sell it... you are probably the ONLY person on YT that goes through such a thorough explanation of Fruity and answer questions that users at all levels have...AWESOME!
That was very helpful. I was wondering how I go about doing that and what the Main Automation pattern was for. For some reason I did not connect it to, well, automating the controls. I love messing with the XY controls in Sytrus and now I know how to actually incorporate them into a song. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I was looking for how to automate non compatible VSTs. With compatible VST you just right clic or whatever and done but with the other ones I had to do it manualy and record a wav file. This way is much easier an quicker. The edit event was an unknown for me. Thank you so much.
In order to hear the effect of the automation, it helps to have some sound output. FL Keys is typically how I start a pattern/song, because it's quick, low CPU, sounds clean and takes effects well. Once I have a melody/rhythm, I'll usually choose a more complex instrument.
please help! when i try to map two knobs to the same controller what do i click. i tried "link to controller". then clicked on the right automation, but when i click accept only the second knob is linked. the first one gets disconnected.
i'm usin 7 too. say i create an automation controlling treble. then i want to add the stretch knob to the same automation. do i just move the knob then click link to controller and select stretch. if so, every time i try this the automation stops controlling treble and just controls stretch. i hope that makes sense. thanks
This video is super hepful

last tweaked parameter doesn´t exist is fl studio 9 anymore
but you can tweak the knob you want to automate a bit and klick on browse parameters
then there is a list of all knobs from your plugin
what you have to do is right klicking on the listed knob and create a automation clip (hope my english wasn´t to bad xD) ^^

Which version of FL Studio do you use? In 7 I can map many buttons/knobs to one controller.
It will indicate "Remove Conflicts", but this does not mean that it has been disconnected.

There's a box at the top called "Remove conflicts". It's only an option. Make sure it's UNchecked so that it does not remove the other automation.

Yes Thanks! I was just wondering that myself... YOUTUBE ROCKS! Oh, and so do you Ace Pincter.
