@JohnnyBoi93xD I don't know for sure, but Jack uses a Digitech Whammy pedal quite often. The pedal allows him to play different octaves, I believe, giving him a really deep sound if he wants to. You can here this on Blue Orchid, as well, but with a POG, which is a different pedal. I'm not really well versed on music as a guitar player, so someone else may have a better explanation. But I think this is just about right.

tbh i love the way that meg plays, it shows that they're not hiding behind any sort of fancy drumming, they're both just playing how they feel like playing. also with jacks awesome playing, hectic drumming, in my opinion would be too much. The White Stripes are/were simple and beautiful and i love them. :D x

I started listening to these guys when I was probably 10 years old, and it was the first concert I seen, in 2003 I believe, I still love them, even if I gravitated towards metal as I grew older. The last time I seen them was in 2007, and I bought Icky Thump on vinyl at the concert. It was raining really hard and it was an outdoor show lol.

Best live version, I think, is the Yellowmouth version that's in the live album Under Great White Northern Lights.

Regardless, all the live versions are better than the recording. They can't record the spontaneity and energy of Jack White if he's playing to a metronome.
