Again: My issue is not with AJ having adverts on his show. Of course he has to run them to provide this service to viewers for free. No problem with that at all. BUT the contents of the ads are a problem. If you run a channel against animal cruelty, you would look stupid advertising McDonalds on the same channel. Advertise dog food or pet insurance, but try to keep the message appropriate. If you are on a crusade against fearmongering as Alex is, you must not engage in fearmongering. Simple.

But surely he has to have some influence on the KIND of ads he runs: This pepperspray ad is pure fearmongering - telling people that the world they live in is not safe and that the only protection is their product... I ditched television because I got sick of the endless commercials and for a long while the internet was practically ad-free - except for maybe the odd pop-up deluge. Dave's AJ channel used to be advert free too but they've raised their input to glom cash or something. Thing is, if the adverts are included in the program, editing them out would be a pain in the ass for each vid... so we gotta live with them.
