As you can see from reading further it means those who were Muslim and professed Islam then turned their backs to disbelief in God altogether God has said that he shall not accept anything from them. Because judging by what God says in the verse, they leave guidance to error.

I feel the spirit of Prophet Muhhammad and the previous prophets.
