Love this camera but mine just died. I have the sp-560uz. I dropped it couple days ago and now I get a zoom error. I won't bother to fix it as there newer technology available in the latest cameras as of April 2010. I especially loved the 18X optical zoom, but disliked the fact that it cant zoom while recording videos.
By the way, this this vid wasa shot with a combination of optical and digital zoom.
this isn't true... i own a SP 550 UZ and with that 18x u can't zoom into what u have shown in this vid... dont try to fool...

no this is full zoom 18x is the optical zoom in this camera and the digital zoom i guise 5.4 >
