@TheXXXIVX Combat system, graphics .....The game has a non point to click combat system which means you walk up to the enemy hack and slash ...or aim to cast ....dodge left or right forward backwards ...The thing i hate about all MMorpgs these days are ...click target ....hit 1 ...hit 1....hit 1....omg .....hit 2 step backwards...but like it would do anything. At least you see a Huge sword coming at your face you have free controll to get out of the way ..

This game has lots of Final Fantasy and Aion in it, but what impresses me more is that games such as Risk Your Life played a major role in Tera's gameplay and some of its aesthetics.
Iv' only seen FPS like controls like that in RYL, and I think it's great to control your char like that.
I believe this will be a massive success and will eventually kill or weaken WoW within a couple years.

I'm afraid it's going to be a lot like the whole thing where you have to pick set characters. No male dual-wielders, or no Female giant-sword wielders. That sort of thing.
@pointblank25 not in this game, this is not like in wow where you have limited options for each race, on this game you can be any class on any race, there are 8 classes (archer, sorcerer, warrior, slayer, elementalist, priest, lancer and berzerker) and 7 races: humans (the name says it) castanics (kind of elvish looking with horns) high elves (you know), amani (kind of demon looking) baraka (they are like giants and they have no female version) popori (animal like) and ellin (lolicon like xD) :)
First this game is being westernised. So more quests less grinding. Less tits and more giant swords. Also there is no PvP in this video. This game uses a true 3D engine unlike most themepark MMOs today that use a HI engine. So if the boss shoots something at you, and your tank steps in the way. It hits your tank instead of you. Where games like WoW and Rift as soon as a spell or weapon is used. The engine already knows if it is going to hit or miss and for how much damage.
I really like how the lancers formed a shield wall to allow for ranged attacks - teamplay like that paves the way for dynamic teamplay. Btw I will be a lancer ^^ Was one in Monster Hunter and loved it.

You see them once you seen them a billion times. all it is, is just shiny graphics and probably bigger world. What you see here is probably edited to make it look cool. like edited from cut scenes from the game. They are all the same one way or another. Guys there IS blocking and dodging, they are a huge part of the combat, the importance of each varying based on what class you are. I've also seen archers and sorcerers jumping. For example sorcerers have a skill where they throw fire at the ground damaging the enemy and knocking them backward to give them distance and archers do back flips. Also there IS world pvp/pk so can you please not just make shit up in your comments about what the game doesn't have when you don't know.
@Davisrullzs they actually spend a lot of time perfecting the game. It was supposed to be out this year but they keep pushing it back cuz they wanna release a perfect game. kudo's to the publisher.
The game is impressive to look at, the town in particular. The enemy design is also very creative and interesting. The combat, however, feels like it lacks life. Maybe I've been spoiled by the likes Vindictus and Diablo 2 (in fact I'm sure I have), but if you aren't going to be doing some awesome dodging in an action RPG, then the killing better feel gratifying, and I think that might be missing here.
Its epic. I don't fucking care that WoW fans compare it (they compare any 3D mmo so why bother XD)

Whether or not you enjoy WoW, it has become a part of our "culture." And even when Blizzard decides to end it, it will go down in the history books for some reason or other(multi million player fanbase), I suppose you could say WoW is the "measuring stick" of MMO's like Starcraft is for rts's. Though again, each game is drastically different.

I play WoW and love it, I also in the RIFT Beta program and think it too is awesome. Waiting to be accepted to play TERA pre-release, as it again will be a different game, and I look forward to it. Each game has +ve and -ve aspects to it, and I rejoice in the fact that there are developers out there who try to give us (the players) a choice of what to play. doesn't mean you *have* to play one game less to play another though :) Can't wait for the release of this :)
One thing that worries me about this, i've had a healer for 10 years by now, she always plays with me, and im usually the tank, i know she started hating heals on wow (MC days) now i see this new point target system for heal, im sure a LOT of healers will hate this, its already hard sometimes to keep at range, and moving and healing gets on everynes nerves if there are not enought HoTs, i just hope they have that in consideration.
I just cant wait to see if this game will also fail like Aion in Europe and US. Just got tired of ppl have swords 4 times of their size and kitties that have a smile frozen where their face should be cause they look like balloons. Wonder if Sailor Moon will be present ..... Lets hope we won't have to farm the shit out of us for her.

Im a hardcore WoW gamer and I understand that people can think it is a rip off. Simply because WoW was their first MMO. But of course it isn't. MMORG, one of the all time ways to detach from RL and enjoy some good old gaming! L2 (loved) /WOW dabbled/ Aion enjoyed/ GW's - different. BUT about time something arose to challenge these mmo's that have held the Monopoly for so long and are lazily taking the 9 dollars/pounds per month and getting away with it.

@MegaG15 Guildwars 2 and TERA are different games with different looking graphic styles. Guild Wars 2 is B2P + Cash Shop and (probably) paid expansions, so not entirely free. TERA will have a monthy subscription fee + free patches/(expansions). In the long run TERA might cost more (if you dont buy cash shop items in Guild Wars 2), but who cares if you enjoy a game.

@dashpanter I dunno about GW2 but GW wasn't even an MMO. Towns were basically game lobbies. When you left them, you were basically running on your own private server.

You see them once you seen them a billion times. all it is, is just shiny graphics and probably bigger world. What you see here is probably edited to make it look cool. like edited from cut scenes from the game. They are all the same one way or another. All it depends on who likes what so it does not matter people like different things I my self might try this game xD

Guys there IS blocking and dodging, they are a huge part of the combat, the importance of each varying based on what class you are. I've also seen archers and sorcerers jumping. For example sorcerers have a skill where they throw fire at the ground damaging the enemy and knocking them backward to give them distance and archers do back flips. Also there IS world pvp/pk so can you please not just make shit up in your comments about what the game doesn't have when you don't know.

The game is impressive to look at, the town in particular. The enemy design is also very creative and interesting. The combat, however, feels like it lacks life. Maybe I've been spoiled by the likes Vindictus and Diablo 2 (in fact I'm sure I have), but if you aren't going to be doing some awesome dodging in an action RPG, then the killing better feel gratifying, and I think that might be missing here.

In all my time being a gamer (around 11 years) this is one of the most awesome games i ever see and the best of all it has like 4 types of warrior jobs =)

Whether or not you enjoy WoW, it has become a part of our "culture." And even when Blizzard decides to end it, it will go down in the history books for some reason or other(multi million player fanbase), I suppose you could say WoW is the "measuring stick" of MMO's like Starcraft is for rts's. Though again, each game is drastically different.
But, now on topic, this game looks amazing :D I just wish I had a computer that could render it so well D:

I play WoW and love it, I also in the RIFT Beta program and think it too is awesome. Waiting to be accepted to play TERA pre-release, as it again will be a different game, and I look forward to it. Each game has +ve and -ve aspects to it, and I rejoice in the fact that there are developers out there who try to give us (the players) a choice of what to play. doesn't mean you *have* to play one game less to play another though :) Can't wait for the release of this :)

One thing that worries me about this, i've had a healer for 10 years by now, she always plays with me, and im usually the tank, i know she started hating heals on wow (MC days) now i see this new point target system for heal, im sure a LOT of healers will hate this, its already hard sometimes to keep at range, and moving and healing gets on everynes nerves if there are not enought HoTs, i just hope they have that in consideration.

I just cant wait to see if this game will also fail like Aion in Europe and US. Just got tired of ppl have swords 4 times of their size and kitties that have a smile frozen where their face should be cause they look like balloons. Wonder if Sailor Moon will be present ..... Lets hope we won't have to farm the shit out of us for her.

Lets assume a couple of things were not sure of in this game
Good gameplay
Great story and background
Easy and understandable game
decent PVP (from aion)
Great PVE (from wow)
No servers to separate pvp or pve like aion
Graphics are understandable, they dont have to be mentioned
im truly sorry but if this is the case WoW, Aion and Final Fantasy just got raped in the ass by the power of a thousand suns. I just hope this isnt the case, i love final fantasy...

I rly like the look of this game and i am not even a gamer.. it looks So good that I swear this game could turn me into the biggest gamer of all!... maybe pushing it a little, but i heard that tera was going to cost $30 per month to play! Im a hardcore WoW gamer and I understand that people can think it is a rip off. Simply because WoW was their first MMO. But of course it isn't. WoW was not the first MMO and there are many of them. yes WoW was successful epic mind blowing extreme fun. But this one seem ok. This game also have a completely different combat system that seem exiting.

MMORG, one of the all time ways to detach from RL and enjoy some good old gaming! L2 (loved) /WOW dabbled/ Aion enjoyed/ GW's - different. BUT about time something arose to challenge these mmo's that have held the Monopoly for so long and are lazily taking the 9 dollars/pounds per month and getting away with it.

@MegaG15 Guildwars 2 and TERA are different games with different looking graphic styles. Guild Wars 2 is B2P + Cash Shop and (probably) paid expansions, so not entirely free. TERA will have a monthy subscription fee + free patches/(expansions). In the long run TERA might cost more (if you dont buy cash shop items in Guild Wars 2), but who cares if you enjoy a game.
