If you have Cura and Immobilize at this point in your game, then that means you've at least gone through the Garamsythe Waterway and have Berserk. Why not just sell items to synthesize and Francisca, and equip it to a character and Berserk them? You can Immobilize the entite as well while it only casts magicks on the berserked character, but once it sees you casting anything, it'll try and Silence you, but it also won't be able to move, and...you catch my drift, right? Wouldn't that be easier?

They don't attack with it because it's normally a neutral, and if it casted protect then Gnoma would've attacked it instead of the Urstrix. But it was busy with you.

Dive talon drops it with a 1% chance. See my "how to get level 99 fast & early" video for details on how to get it before doing the Nalbina Dungeons event (which is essentially the very beginning of the game's story).

What's so bad about X-2?  I find 8 the worst of them all. 3 is out of reach (it's not on the PS1, Gamecube, NES, or SNES). FF9 is is in the middle part from a best-to-worst case. FF4 is lower than 9 with 8 at the bottom. 5 is the second-worst mostly. 2 with 7 very close behind are the best (7 mostly due to lack of limits (aside from the damage limit) and best story and 2 from both the lack of limits and the ability to get end-of-game stats with no story progress).

Sorry i was a bit harsh on X-2. Thing is, i loved X. And i think Final Fantasy X-2 wasn't a very good sequel to FFX. The game kept me entertained, yes, but all Final Fantasy's keep me entertained.

You could get a females opinion on this game, and they're most likely going to think it is a great sequel.

Reason why? The game is really on the feminine side. I am saying that alot of males would think it is "for girls" . The game play is Pretty good, but could definitely be better.

Wikipedia. Search "Final Fantasy X-2" on wikipedia. And read. The cover will give you a bit of an idea about the game. I'll say this, Final Fantasy X-2 is a big change from it's past games. The battle system is turn-based, and not active time. I personally liked the active-time, one reason, no random encounters. You would be spending ages battling random encounters on the turn-based system.

Back to the game - Final Fantasy X-2's story is a bit, one could say "romantic". The story itself is.

Overall, the game was bashed by alot of males. I am guessing that they hated the fact that the 3 main characters were girls throughout the entire game.

Gamespot gave it an 8.1/10 giving it a "great" score.

NOTE: earlier i said that males hated the feminine side of the game, NOT ALL males hate that, some males really enjoyed the game, including me. I have just seen alot better.

I don't know if you'd say it is romance, it is just a girl from the last game trying to find someone she lost in the last game. That's her mission, so would you call that romance? I don't know.

As for Final Fantasy X, i read on one of the forums that you were unlikely going to get it due to a scene containing blood. How did you react to Final Fantasy 8 with the scene of blood. As for the blood in Final Fantasy X,i recall that being from only one scene, and it isn't human blood, if that adds on

I actually didn't see it in FF8 at all. The story and gameplay were both very boring which is what turned me away. The walking sound is horrible and the music is the worst in the FF series. It's a wonder why I find 8 at the bottom of the list. FF5, which is also somewhat boring, at least has the challenge and good story so it's way ahead of 8.

Yes, but the blood scene is in the opening of the game. When Seifer and Squall are training. You see the scene before you even get to control your character at all.

Oh that, I didn't watch it. The video frequently stopped and started so I was 20 minutes into the new game before actual story events started because of this. I also didn't get to see the ending....

I can't tell you anymore, since that would really spoil Final Fantasy X, a great game, that got a 9.3/10 giving it an "editor's choice" rating.

I would give final fantasy X-2 a 8.3/10

Note, this is all my opinion, and i judge games strangely, but i still find i judge them fairly.

Who knows? Maybe you will like it or hate it more than i did.

Just play Final Fantasy X first, before you even consider playing it's sequel, Final Fantasy X-2.

It's obtained as loot. It'll take several tries, like getting the kotetsu from the werewolves (which really helps with them).

It is a rare drop. You would do well to build the highest chain level with the wolves and hyenas, then use break on the Dive Talons. When he dies, the chain will not break, and you can get rare drops more easily.

I halves the damage taken by magic attacks. Sometimes it cuts it by 1/4 instead, depending on the game. I don't recall what this game uses though.

Actually, I'm not. There wasn't anything of use on the license board at the time. Seeing that quickenings removed that block from others' boards bothered me (at the time, I still only had Vaan and had no idea who else was to join the party) so I never got them. I had no idea that they would increase max MP beyond 270 or so. Even with them, I never used them at all because I was already easily defeating enemies (level 99 on level 20 enemies - what do you expect?).

Two ways, if I recall: 1. Enter and exit Zertinan Cavern repeatedly (can take several tries). 2. Go into the far northeast corner where a dino is then exit (guaranteed unless defeated).

The sleep status effect is the real threat and since, if I recall, I didn't have any piece of armor or accessory to be immune to it, I needed at least someone available to help with that.

It was hard to beat this dude with my characters at level 1, 3, 3. I had to use "knot of rust" and x-potion spam to pull it off.

You need to be at a very high level in order to attempt this thing and with decent weapons. If you have a large party (of 3), then level 30 may be the lower limit, best if you have ranged weapons. I don't know how you could do it solo as you'll need something to make you immune to sleep and silence, sleep being the most important, far more important.

You need to be of a fairly high level (at least 50, though 70 is the minimum preferred for where I was at in the game's story) in order to do battle with this thing.

It only happens when you attack elementals. If you do 1000 damage to the enemy, the character who attacked it will take 70 damage, if I recall correctly. It's been months since I last played this game....

At the time, I didn't know what they were and seeing that it would be removed from other characters' boards, I never bothered getting them, the same with espers. But, that didn't bother me since the game was easy enough anyway in terms of battles, even the ultimate mark.

At the time of this video, I didn't have reflect, haste, fira, dispel, or others. In fact, I very recently obtained cura, getting it the moment I first saw it in a shop. From there, without any further progress in the story, I went at defeating this thing.

My theory is that, if you defeat an enemy with urstrix nearby, it'll almost always come over. Here, a respawned urstrix is the same way, but it sees that the two are picking a fight with that extremely powerful thing and watches in amazement. It's a sign of humorous AI.
