Jun ki act as a jester named Gong-Gil from the 16th century-- a job of a clown during the empire days included acting in comedy and tragedy folk plays. Since women were forbidden to play a part in plays, men often had to play the women character.

So in this movie, Jun ki was a jester whose job was to play a woman part. This doesn't necessarily mean the jester was gay.

But I do agree, though, that he's pretty in this movie. In fact, he's the prettiest man I've ever seen.

Hey get a grip!!! LEE JUN-KI played the role of a young man who only dresses & acts like a woman while performing for entertainment clowning around. Some men/women are attracted to him b/c he is so stunning & attractive even though they knew he is still a man. Gong-Gil was young, naive & prone to unscrupulous behavior by others beyond his control. I don't think anyone else could have played the role of Gong-Gil as well as Jun-Ki did. He's too damnnnnnnnnnn pretty being a man or woman!!!

i watched this movie and it really is a great movie....it's not a gay movie like most people say/think it is...it's more about friendship and the love that comes with it....

it's a really good piece of work....everyone did a great job portraying their roles junki and the other main guy were especially the best.....

my fav part was when they were pretending to be blind as a gag and then they hugged each other....0.56ish....almost cried when i watched that part...
