I think the scanner sound is a little on the too loud side

Also the scanner using LED's doesnt work as well. You can see the bulbs and the light doesnt have a smooth flowing movment.

The original looking scanner is done best using incadescent bulbs as the fade from the bulb that just got switched off gives a smooth transition to the next bulb that is being powered up.

@cnasterodon For me, it doesn't get annoying when it's slower. LOVE the car, but I think i'd shoot myself if I had the sound playing that fast. My brother has a KITT replica, but it's in the early stages of getting cleaned up. The guy who put the nose and dash didn't buy a great base car. It looks good from a few feet away, but the guy who painted it should be shot.

Yeah, but never understood why. There's no way in the whole life the scanner could be mistaken with another light. I mean, it takes to be either dumb or almost blind.

I know traffic laws are wisely made (not always) for the sake of everybody, but sometimes they just... go too far, in my estimation.

It's because the law considers it a distraction for the other drivers

Kind of like talking on a cell phone distracts the driver so its illegal now to hold a cell and drive

Also yellow is usually considered a caution hazard color reserved for such vehicles like a tow truck

Red and blue are danger-warning lamps reserved for official vehicles like police and ambulance and such

And they don’t want that being mistaken by drivers if its on a non emergency vehicle. That is basically the reason.

Well, it's kinda relative. Talking to the driver can also distract him from driving and it's not cause for a ticket !

Besides, I myself, personally, don't think anyone could get the trailing effect of the front scanner mistaken, even if it's night, no matter if they are red or yellow. It's just too low near to the ground for confusion. Official vehicles lights just flashes or flicks, not trailing, and they're above on the roof or behind, not sticked to the nose.

Its always been my dream to have a replica of KARR.

Tell me, what does the cops say to the scanner? here in Denmark a KITT replica isnt legal as the scanner is red so other cars may think the car is an emergency vehicle, thats why im gonna try to make a KARR replica as the color of the scanner is almost the same as headlights.

In Spain is ilegal too. The scan is on only in exhibitions and take it on to in road is a risk. The police can denounce you

This Bar of scanner was used by me only this morning, it was made by a few friends, to the midday, a friend brought the his new one with the straight lights (it is possible to see that little wicks and the sweep is not totally linear) it is possible to see in other video of the concentration and in one of my answers on video. Is a Brennon Scan sound, Kitt's sound, but with a loudspeaker of a system "free hands" of mobile telephone put behind the fog lights regulated with a bit of distortion to achieve KARR's authentic sound.
