I'm a Muslim and i agree with archfiend. Even back in the days of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) non-believers of Islam criticized him and did nasty things to Islam but Prophet Muhammad led peacefully and fought when he needed to. Some people need to understand that today is just like the days of Muhammad.

What I like about South Park is the fact is doesn't take sides. One episode the criticizes atheism and the next criticizes Christianity. One episode criticizes Republicans and the next criticizes Democrats. Be it they use satire against certain groups, they still have a good moral in the end. That and it's fucking hilarious!
But what I hate is all these butt-hurt people complaining that South Park made fun of them. I'm a Catholic and you don't see me flipping out.

the reason that they are so pissed over Muhammad being depicted is because it is strictly prohibited. Christians have drawn and painted God and Jesus for hundreds of years now so that people think of God and Jesus being white. The main difference with Islam is that it considers Jesus as a prophet just as the old Christians considered him as a prophet. Muslims do not believe that Jesus is God "incarnate" God "in the flesh" that ate, went toilet, occupied a space and time etc etc. It was the Romans (Constantine the Great) that amalgamated the faith of Christianity with Roman Paganism (the worship of Mithras and Dionisys).

The problem lies as much with the religion itself than the extremists. If you believe in the Qur'an, then it's perfectly logical to do these sorts of things, as surely the rules of Islam - and the divine moral authority from which they came - would take precedence over mere man-made law. As long as you believe that, then there is nothing you CAN'T do to another people in the name of Islam.
