  • Funny thing is...if you stop the clip @ 0:08s , you see " 0 km/h " on the display in the middle...but in the lower left corner of the speedometer stands mph....why?

  • @DFzwo

Because this car is inly available overseas for right now. Therefore the MPH is the smaller numbers on the speedometer, and the larger numbers are for kkm/h. Just like here in the states the larger numbers are MPH and the smaller are km/h. It is there to please the predominant drivers for whatever region you live. Make sense? and to Richard...smae goes for you. It goes to 200 km/h not MPH,

  • @ToneyDanza I know the difference between km/h and mph by the way...

  • @ToneyDanza lol. look at it again, and read every number. you are soo wrong. its an honest mistake tho, so dont worry haha (:

  • it would be awesome if our tiguan's dials move like this in startup

  • How fast sans limiter, chaps? 162mph, according to engineering legend Damian Harty... (dot com!)

  • MPH, dude - 200mph! Wonder how close it could get with the limiter removed...

    so called "light saber effect"

  • think it was subaru?

  • If you want to read what our senior writer CJ thought of the Golf R, head on over to motoringresearch - full spex, images and road test there...

  • Lexus ones ARE nice, I give you that!

  • lexus IS ones look nicer

  • Great video. They look cool. Head over to "R Forum" (Google it!) for chat and info about the Golf and Scirocco R.

  • It's the 6-speed manual version Timothy, correct. DSG is optional here in the UK - it's a Brit-spec Golf R.

Incidentally, geeky fact: UK press office images are of a DSG manual. You can tell because the interior shot features the famed green 'press brake pedal' icon glowing in the speedo!

That is, note, a speedo that goes up to 200mph. Which is very cool, I reckon..!! ;-)

    R.

  • great video. cool lights. but did this R come in manual? i see "depress clutch to start" and is this US-spec?
