  • great vid man your a beast. the only reason people disliked this vid is probly cuz of the song though lol

  • Looks like a nice gym too

  • brilliant mate. total respect for you, keep it up!

  • Those aren't power cleans, Those are hang cleans.

  • the power cleans were impressive

  • now that is impressive omfg! only problem is that is a hang snatch and a hang clean which, just makes it far more impressive, hang clean/snatch is definitely harder than the power clean and power snatch, great work, keep it up!

  • I M P R E S S I V E !!!!!

  • Great power man! i'm starting weigthlifting i hope being as powerfull as you keep going' man!

  • How long have you been lifting weights overall? And how long have you been doing olympic weightlifting?

  • @HermanHermes I've been training for 15 years. O'lifting I did 3 years only. Now I do mostly powerlifting.

  • @chezkenny At the beginning what type of training you did? Classic bodybuilding training or something else? And also I would like to ask you, what different benefits O'lifting, powerlifting and the training before had to you.

  • @HermanHermes Well at fist I began weightlifting for basketball. I use "classic" strength training initially and later added plyometrics. I believe a strength base is crucial, then you start adding what you need. O'lifting is used to teach your body to develop max strength in the minimum amount of time, it's great but it requires a LOT of time learning the lifts.... As an example my athleticisms improved as I went from 150lbs to 220lbs power snatch however no further gains from 220lbs to 265lbs

  • @chezkenny thats very interesting! so youre pretty experienced I guess...can you please help me with something? Do you think I should do powerlifting for few years to get muscle mass and then go for Olympic Lifts and stick just to them then? Or should I combine it somehow? You know because I would like to build a lot of muscle mass but also an explosive strenght. What would your advice be?

  • @HermanHermes Well train as heavy as possible as often as possible, and support it by adequate nutrition, you will gain strength and mass. If you want power, pick 2-3 basic lifts, and perform every reps of every sets like it's your most explosive ever (after w-up). Whether it's 30% or 100% of your 1RM you should thrive to accelerate maximally. You can either work in a pyramid fashion from 40% to 90% or do multiple sets at a given weight, 50-70%. Sometimes adding chains or bands also.

  • @HermanHermes if you want to be able to train the O'lifts effectively one day, you should start learning technique right now. You can do form work, or light dynamic training as part of your daily w-up routine. Until you have mastered the O'lifts and are ready to rip the full benefits out of them, you should do Squat, Deadlift, Front Squat and Barbell Rowing. Pick any 2 and repeat as often as possible. Then add 1 of these 3 to complete the workout: Bench press, Military press or Pullups

  • @chezkenny thank you very much...hmm I guess Im gonna find some O-lifting instructor because last time I did Clean and press I injured my lower back with bad technique...so right now when Im recovering from it Im just focusing on isolated exercises to keep my muscle mass and when I will be 100 % again I will go find some good instructor to explain me the technique of the lifts to details

  • @chezkenny dam man you might be stronger then GSP!!

  • lol fuk everybody else good lifts man

  • those are hang cleans arent they? and hang snatches? the snatch and the clean start from the ground, while the snatch ends up above your head, the clean ends up racked against your clavicle area. you have good form though, i wont knock that, i just thought that both lifts start from the ground, or maybe you labeled the vid. wrong? Either way, still heavy weight, and good form, well done.

  • @dudelov3 Thanks. But really who cares exercise name... It's Power hang snatch, and power hang clean if you want the exact label. "Hang" is for the start of the lift, "power" is the way you catch the bar. If it's higher than 90 degrees knee flexion, it's referred as "power". Is that precise enough?

  • Man that's pretty heavy weight and it doesn't even look like you have lifting shoes on. Savage.

  • isn't that called hang clean\snatch?

    Very nice weight anyway.

  • You could skip the song

  • wow nice.

  • i wanna snatch so bad but there is no one in my gym that can teach me the technique urgh

  • amazing work. You must've worked really hard to get here. Congrats

  • In first snatch reps, do I see a string attached to the end of the bar? whats that? Nice snatches, hell, I can barely do that with 140lbs.

  • Well, those were nice, but those were hang snatch and hang clean.

  • @jeffparcel

Do you really think he doesn't know that? Hard to imagine a guy gets up to a decent level at the o-lifts without figuring that out, but "hang power snatch," "powerclean from the hang," and ways of writing it are going to take up space in the title.

Since the hang versions allow less weight, and the guy knows what he is doing - what's the big deal? I guess I'm probably guilty of having done the same thing, trying to be helpful, before I wised up, but it's pointless self-involvement.

  • His technique is pretty good guys. Why be so mean. Its obvious he doesn't lift competitively, but hes doing really well. Leave him be, don't be an ass.

  • why don't you want to drop the weights after you're done repping for snatches and cleans? that's looks like hell catching it back down in the bottom positions. and when i say looks like hell like, not a lot of fun, even tho you manage doing it pretty well lol

  • @tarsen1012 haha Well the thing is I was going for reps most of the times. Plus I have the tendo unit right under it so you never know, it might bounce all over the place if I drop the bar.... But to be honest those weights aren't that heavy so it's not too hard to catch it.

  • @chezkenny well then. lol. drive on my friend, drive on haha

  • very impressive!all the stupid f*cks saying cleans and snatches should be done as slow as possible for more 'uniform'muscle development should seriously stfu and keep applying the false tan and stick to choosing thongs for their interests the f

    ##kin tools!

  • very impressive!all the stupid f*cks saying cleans and snatches should be done as slow as possible for more 'uniform'muscle development should seriously stfu and kepp applying the false tan and stick to choosing thongs for their interests the f

    ##kin tools!

  • i love all these know-it-all uneducated sons of bitches thinking they know shit bout weightlifting(Netkiller3714) snatches and cleans are an explosive movement, not slow, jus like i explode on ur mother

  • CLIPS!!!!!

  • you make it look so easy )

  • Done everything else but the power snatch looks scary as fuck lol

  • @chezkenny BEAST-MODE!!!

  • @dlaundry518 Doesn't matter what you say, your opinion is shit lol. Post some vids to show the proper form then, or just stfu and go back to video games

  • great lifts! nice tight form!

  • @chezkenny Get em!

  • @chezkenny Your form looked okay, Im lifting not much lighter than you. My form is gaaaash!

  • @dlaundry518 i'd suggest you know fuck all about form

  • @dlaundry518 Man his form was good, and he is super strong...seriously trust me, it's not easy what he was doing...

  • @dlaundry518 go ahead, critique it, cant wait to hear this. oh and great lifts man, even more impressive for hang cleans

  • @dlaundry518

Said the kid between reading Men's Health articles.

  • @chezkenny fileden.com/files/2009/3/20/2372417/mirror.jpg

  • @Netkiller3714 you talk so much for that little shit???? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHAHA Wow you're HUGE!! Looks like me, at 14yo before I started lifting... Except for the new born pecs... I don't know who told you you were big, prolly your mum but she lied to you bro, for real...

  • When you lift weights slower you target a lot more muscles involved with stabilizing the weight and you give your muscle fibers a more even and thorough tear. If you think this is wrong you obviously don't know how to work out properly and you're just making things harder for yourself making your progress many times slower then it should be. When I was lifting weights I gained 45 pounds of muscle in 6 months. I know my technique is right.

  • @Netkiller3714 so you weighed 140lbs? Ok I call you out. Post a vid of your best lift, I dare you. Anything, any reps, any weight. You're about to get embarassed fool. Put up or shut up you skinny kid. Scared?

  • @Netkiller3714 Olympic movements are all about the force/velocity curve. They're not about bodybuilding, looking bigger, and all that boring shit. It's a power movement which develops functional power for many many sports. Bodybuilding doesn't do this and has no benefit for sport or function. Wake the fuck up.

  • Lift slow, think slow, be slow. Who wants to be a puffed up bodybuilder who is slow? Power, strength, function are far more important goals. Bodybuilding is a dumbass waste of time.

  • @Netkiller3714 45lbs of muscle in 6 months???????????? Are you nuts....Even 5lbs of muscle naturally in 1 year is good...some might gain 10 lbs in 1 year.....45lbs in 6 months is just a big joke...

  • @Netkiller3714 ROFL shut the fuck up and get the fuck out hahahahaha

  • @Netkiller3714 if it was powerlifting id understand some1 whining about form not being slow but olympic lifting ? hell did u ever see any1 does C&J in slow motion ? ROFL

  • @Netkiller3714

are you suggesting that cleans and snatches should be performed as slowly as possible? your a fucking idiot.

  • @30sleepy10 When you throw a weight in the air like that and all of a sudden catch it, you violently tear your muscles in the weakers areas of the muscle fibers. It does make you stronger, and bigger, but. If you do the same motion, but slower, and with control, it's alot harder, because it's a more full work out, where you tear the muscle fibers in uniformed places within the muscle.

  • @Netkiller3714 Prove me wrong with proof and articales. Not ego. Thanks.

  • @Netkiller3714

if you are talking about bodybuilding and to some extent powerlifting, then what you are saying is true. HOWEVER, this is olympic lifting, which is a measure of power. Power is force divided by time. The quicker the movement, the higher the power. The aim of these lifts is to increase fast-twitch muscle fibres which inceases power. You are getting confusing increasing power with adding muslce mass. Just youtube some olympic lifts and you will see what I mean.

  • @Netkiller3714 lol 45 pounds of muscle in 6 months? You sound like some quote of a muscletech container. Fuck out of here . You can only gain 5 to 10 pounds of muscle per year without the use of PEDs

  • I'm currently rocking at 185lbs at 5'11" with a body fat percentage of 6.48%. You????

  • @Netkiller3714 are you serious? You idiot I'm 235lbs with a bodyfat of 8.23%...

  • It's fun watching guy's show off with weights they can't handle properly. I wouldn't even do the first work out. It's a pointless work out and very back on your skeletal structure. Especially your back. Plus it's just to dangerous to be even considered a smart workout. What happens if you snap that shit up and your muscles decide to give out? You now have a shit load of weight flinging you backwards. Besides. Slower work outs give you more then these quick 3 seconds burst's of lifting.

  • @Netkiller3714 Actually you're right, this workout isn't smart, you really nailed it when you mentioned it's "very back" on my skeletal structure... that was a brilliant comment, it totally made me change my perspective. Thank you. You genius.. You know, I bet you wouldn't have to worry about your muscles "giving out" cause first you don't have any!!!! Keep doing your "slow workouts" that's the bomb. Maybe they are the reason why you're so weak, unathletic, out of shape and a johnny bravo's fan

  • @chezkenny I've been weight training since I was 15 and I'm now 23. I'll do a lifting comp with you any day. And I now just realized my spelling error which was due to the auto correct on my phone. But after reading your response I bet you lift more weights with your mouth then you do your arms. Just saying.

  • @Netkiller3714 you've obviously got absolutely no clue about Olympic weight lifting movements, why they are worthwhile and how they affect your body. Lulz :-)

  • Big respect Kenny. The pussies doing the hating don't lift, thus pointless arguing.

  • @Sick3ninVend3tta haha thank you. Yeah I wasn't seriously arguing, I was just laughing at him really.

  • @chezkenny let me show you again. this is what you said: "youve got a 12 YEARS OLD brain in a 12 YEARS body". this is my correction: "...12 YEAR OLDS brain in a 12 YEAR OLDS body" . do you understand how retarded your making youself sound? maybe if you spent some time learning instead of trying to picking fights with 16 year olds kids that are smarter than you, you would be able to come up with something intelligent to say and something thats actually worth my time reading.

  • @BNomo1 "oldS"?? It's an adjective, there is no case in hell where it takes an s... lol. It's either a 16 year-old douchebag, or this douchebag is 16 years old!! Double check with your aunt next time, I mean your mom... lol Now quit making a fool out of yourself. Sometimes it's better to shut up and let people think you're a dumbass, than opening your mouth and proving it!!!!

  • powerlifting is a gay sport. please do something that actually takes skill. now im not saying i can lift nearly this much, but let me train for 10 years and ill be a fucking world champion too...

  • @BNomo1 No you couldn't do it. But in this video I'm doing Olympic weight lifting... So you couldn't be a sports broadcaster either you einstein!!! haha

  • @BNomo1 I know ppl who train for years and still cant bench 225 or squat 315 - shut the fuck up

  • @muzimuzi im 16 years old, i weigh 180, and squat 290...im sure i could get up to 315. as for bench, im only 180, but gimme a year or 2 and i asure you, i will be able to bench 225 - shut the fuck up.

  • @BNomo1 you havent got any vids avliable but since u didnt claim anything wild Lets say it real - how can u still call powerlifting gay thing? my point is it takes shitloads of hardwork regardless of the numbers

  • lol at the end that guy in the background is pressing the bar.

  • @ThePickleinajar So you think he looks funny, stupid maybe?? He's actually a powerlifting world champion in his age and weight class... He's just warming up with the bar. Now who looks stupid?

  • @ThePickleinajar The guy who cared eneough about me finding it amusing eneough to reply trying to be rude when all I did was make an observation, I honestly Don't care if he's a champion, it's none of my buisness all I did was say he was pressing the bar .and he was. so chill man

  • @ThePickleinajar Yeah and correct spelling isn't your business either apparently you moron

  • @bassplayer18a7x8 Yeah exactly. I think he's confused why someone would use that many boards- seems to reduce ROM even further than the lockout.

  • also, thumb downed

  • Strong!

  • i dont understand the point of the 3 inch board for bench press...it looked more like a 4x4 anyways..takes away the whole range of motion

  • @WaT3rb0y619 look up "board press" in google. Maybe you'll understand better

  • 0:55 ahahahahahahahahahah the guy in the backround lifting the bar

  • straight beast, dude. no wonder you have such a huge vertical with good frame. major props. good training. you are my idol, dude. huge frame, HUGE vert. good shit.

  • Stopped the video three seconds in, Evanescense? Really? Not for me thanks.

  • @SMSBJM1981 Can't you read? Youtube deleted the soundtrack... Thanks for wasting that webspace.

  • i like how the guy in the background is benching the bar all fast while you do 400 or however much it was ha

  • crazy shoulder/core strength. very nice.

  • ho man those arent just power cleans and snatches, there hang power cleans and snatches. damn thats animal stuff right there

  • i dont get how this video can get any hate comments. this is extremely hard and this man has true power.

  • Why did you use the big block on your first bench attempt ?

  • I'm just wondering why the guy said "no homo"

a man can't complement another man without being gay??

    our homophobic culture sucks cock.

  • what does the board do?

  • What the hell happened to your bench press? There's a video of you benching 205 kg and here you can barely push 150 off a rack???

  • @UrizenTheNegator

What do you mean what happened...? Well it improved in 2 years, thanks god! But it was definitely not my max off the rack either.

  • @chezkenny What do you mean improved? You could bench press 205 and now it's between 140 - 150.... how did it improve?

  • @UrizenTheNegator haha... Maybe it's the other way around no?

  • @chezkenny Ohh... I mixed things up. That video more recent.... hehe, this one is 3 years old, lol....

  • @UrizenTheNegator maybe u watched the videos out of order... which is exactly what kenny is suggesting

  • why does every user video have this shitty track on it

    other than that great lifts.

  • nice vid

  • that dude in the back is pressing some massive weight. wow. better watch out for that guy

  • when cleaning how low or how high must i get the bar before racking into front sqwat?

  • lol I was about to bitch about song choice but I read your comments first, effing youtube deleting everyone's soundtracks...

  • @bigdaddy2993

thanks. Well obviously it's not the original song of the clip... Youtube deleted it.

  • @chezkenny oh that's what happened to the last video...I was looking for that video for like an hour. I used to watch it before I workout because it was sick with the other song...still amazing lifts though!

  • Qite the song to workout too.

  • look at the pussy benching the bar in the background

  • @TheHHES I'm pretty sure he is warming up due to the insane bar speed.

  • @xNewAgeWarriorx i think if he was warming up with such light weight he wud do close grip tho.....eh i dont really care that much.

  • What is your squat/bench/deadlift/overhead press and your height and weight?

  • fuckin beastttttt

  • what's that orange string? is that to monitor bar speed or am I way off?

  • @DazedNConfused01 Exactly!

  • GOOD VIDEO AND GOOD EXERCISE 'S

    ONLY THE SONG IS GAY

  • @ioanonissimo thanks. Well about the song, I didn't choose it, but youtube blocked my audio track and I just picked randomly from the list....

  • @chezkenny

    cheers kenny

i hope i archive your level of strengt and determanation.

  • At least play some better music.

  • @Djdjin actually it's youtube who blocked most of my audio tracks.... Pretty lame...

  • Holy shit, you are strong.

  • I like the guy in the background one-upping you by benching just a bar!

  • too bad you can't do full squat snatch or squat clean, you'd being doing alot more weight

  • i like the guy benching the bar near the end. hahah but good job man

  • i agree with some of the comments you need more drive with the legs, you shouldn't be pulling with your arms at all really only upper body pull should be a shrug at the end of the pull. but good weight being lifted there keep it up

  • fail at end

  • Dis is da shit!

  • You are strong as SHIT! Impressive.. Only thing, is that I would recommend lowering the wheight on your benches.. You grind WAY to much, and that is, contrary to most beliefs, detrimental to progress.

You want a wheight you can dominate

I'd highly recommend you read Christian Thibaudeau's work on the perfect rep.

    But great strenght, seriously ;D

  • @MadsBille never give advice again. youre supposed to grind a lot..push to the limits.

thats why this guys strong and youre not.

  • @rctriplefresh5 First of, how would you know if I am strong or not?

And secondly, believe what you will.. If you are satisfied with a fried CNS, and slow gains in strength and size.

Sure, if you are a powerlifter, you want to have a session, at the most two a week, where you go super high in wheight, so that you teach your body to overcome a wheight, even if you think you can't at first.. But this should be seen as practice, not a workout.

  • hmm, i've never seen anyone have good form doing this, it always looks like there about to pull something.

  • best workout tune

  • LOL at the guy in the background doing the bar at :58

  • @Rusty4ND

    Same here

  • this is crazy

  • whats the song?

  • bring me to life - evanessence

  • Comment removed

  • Why do you worry about his back?

  • @SerbiansareTrash, because his first movement is a straightback deadlift almost. Puts alot of stress on the discs in the back. I was always taught to use my legs first to get the weight moving upwards when i engage my back, so there's less stress on the parts that can't handle it.

  • would dropping the legs to 90 degrees on the clean still allow u to create the kind of explosiveness u want for the pc?

  • As far as I know you're doing hang clean and snatch... Can you do that starting off the ground?

  • lol hang clean is a lot harder than power clean buddy.

  • most people can do the same from the hang that they can from the full squat snatch or full squat clean, because the momentum is going directly up when they pull. when your pulling off the floor, you have the 1st pull (from floor to knee's) then the 2nd pull (from knee's to clean), if you screw up your first pull it can make the 2nd pull much harder, because there is no 1st pull from the hang, is why its no harder if anything easier

  • @freedomsoldier187 I will have to disagree with u, there is just one motion through the whole lift? and I believe that u can do a lot more from the floor because u are able to get more speed and power with u through the lift.

  • @ThePicOfDestiny, well I'll believe my two coaches both ex olympic and commonwealth games coaches, so think what you want.

  • @freedomsoldier187 That's a stupid, irrelevant comment. Hang snatch/clean and Power hang snatch/clean are not the same.... I do POWER hang in the video thank you.

  • @HwarangOfFaith This.

  • dude thats ridiculously, not too many average lifters can even clean how much you snatch

  • Your a strong guy, but your clean and snatch form needs alot of work. You use all upper body for them and you worked on your leg drive youd be able to do alot more

  • Yes I know, my legs need work

  • @chezkenny

no disrespect to you kenny .

    about the song

    good job

  • rofl some guys in the back killing the bar

  • that was great. but it was funny that the dude in front of u was benching 45 while ur doing 315

  • He was probably just warming up or cooling down; look at how fast he's moving the bar.

  • I would be so fucking worried about my shoulder popping out on those snatches!! good efforts tho dude.

  • @needabloodyname same here. after seeing that guy in the olympics i havent really snatched

  • If you do them right you don't have to worry. They will make your shoulders stronger if anything. I suffer with antherior dislocations and never dislocated my shoulder doing any of the o-lifts. A good idea is to throw in rotator cuff work in to your daily routines 3-5x a week.

  • @needabloodyname Yeah, man, you have to keep those shoulders strong and in good position.

  • impressive

do ever do the old forms

u know split snatches, clean and press

    and split cleans

  • strong,strong

  • lol at the bar benching the bar

  • you dont go the whole way down?

  • Is that an old T-Wolves Jersey on bench day? Crazy way to get pumped!

  • haha! Yeah it was JR Rider... On the same team were Doug West and Christian Laettner I recall!!

  • Although those weren't power cleans, still very very very impressive. You do them with ease.

  • Thanks.

  • That snatch balance, wow.

  • i'm so impressed by this. out of control man. i'm still trying to fix a flexibility issue with my shoulders so i can get to the point where i can even do an overhead squat comfortably.

    cheers to you!

  • Actually it's not my favorite lift at all, I rarely use it. But it's a good test of body control and balance in a full squat stance.

  • @chezkenny who are you do you compete

  • good job mate!

  • Thank you!!
