I love my 2009 Honda Civic GX! I bought it new in march of 2009 and I've put over 18,000 miles on it the first year and my tailpipe is still clean. I had a Toyota Matrix as a trade-in. After 6 months I decided to sell my other gasoline cars and keep the GX. I sold my Nissan P/U and my Nissan Pathfinder. I have been everywhere I've needed to drive to. I live in San Jose and travel to the L.A. area, San Diego, Monterey, Lake Tahoe... The car is made in U.S. with a high pcnt. of U.S. parts.
Gas won't even hit $4 a gallon till like 2030. Oil prices arent supposed to hit $130 a barrell until 2030, so I don't think there is anythign to worry about. And what is wrong with SUVs? What about people who have big families and need to haul lots of stuff? Or TOW things maybe? hmm? You gonna tow a Jeep or boat with your 113HP GX? How about this, we have 5 people, a dog and two cats, and our Ford Expedition is packed full when we go on trips to visit family. Anything smaller won't cut it.
Hey TGeary, how you doing man. I live in Irvine as well. How much it takes to fill up your tank, and how many miles can you drive usually with one tank?
The biggest con for me is the Hybrid carpool stickers are all gone. The other con is if you're doing a lot of freeway driving then your burning $4 gas like any other civic. The con on the CNG is there are only a few CNG stations. The other con is the CNG tank is in the trunk so there is very little trunk space.
Where do you fill up on natural gas? I haven't seen any place to do that around here or maybe i don't know. What're the pros and cons between a Hybrid civic and a GX?
A full tank can allow you to go for how long?? 150 miles?

Correction to my previous statement. Gas is projected to not hit it AGAIN until 2030.

@rudolphna54
You can't predict gas prices- that's been proven many, many times over the last 50 years.

If I had $25,000 extra dollars you better believe I'd have a GX in my garage and a Phill on my wall. :D

You don't write the word "dollars" and also write a $. It is redundant.
