El Tour de Tucson start line - announcer's perspective

I was there standing next to the pros riddled with injuries covered in medical devices to help me recover from being run over by a truck the week before. The next year I returned for my third and last time. The more un experienced cyclists they allow into ETD the more dangerous it gets. I love it but it's just not worth it any more. Marathon style cycling only mixes to a point. 2008 was a blood bath. I really love what it stands for, I grew up knowing one race. This was it.

I watch this video every year when I'm training for el tour de tucson. It gets me so motivated. Watching the video makes my heart beat faster because it reminds me of the very unique emotions that you can only ever experience when you're IN that sea of people waiting to be set off on your 110 mile journey ahead. You know there will be great times along the way, and some miserable points as well, but its all about that once in a life time experience.
