Sounds like Joni Mitchell on guitar... was this after they worked with her on the "Chalk Mark" album? Wonder if they picked up a tuning or two from her...

It also sounds a lot like the live version of Joni's "A Case Of You" the Revolution would do back in the day. That's Wendy's distinctive style of playing. And I think she did it without any weird tunings, it's all in the dense chords she uses which are no doubt influenced by Joni. One time they working together and Joni actually asked her what tuning she was using because she liked her style.

i liked the whole soundtrack. every song. this one sticks out, it's so different compared to the other tracks..but it's probably the most meaningful to me. even back then as a teen i could relate to this song and now i can still relate, almost at 30.

this is not the full soundtrack version though. at the end you think the song is over and it comes back. its haunting.
