One thing which annoys me to hell is that the airbus vol 2 collection still doesn't work... On wiclopub.com it says test in progress. And it has bin in progress for like.. several months! How long time is it going to take before the pack works?????
leave windows 7 64 bit well alone, since installing w7 my fsx has gone seriously downhill with only 20 FPS at best with scenery at dense, stick to what you know guys
Ima thinking of getting Windows 7 just for fsx how many extra fps u getting and is there much of a change from Vista. Im planing on getting 7 with 6gig of ram and keeping my 4000GHZ dual core processer
I have Windows7 64bit RC1 and FSX Acceleration Pack installed. When I enable DX10 I have problems: bloom effects don't work, G effects not visible, texture flickering on runways (z-fighting) and such things. I unchecked DX10 so I play with DX9 right now. But do you know WHY and how can I get DX10 to work properly? I have i7 920@4GHz with GTX-295. Any help appreciated.
@doubleyoudotcom : It might be the fact that the nVidia GTX 950 is a Dual GPU card. I'm not sure if FSX is to happy with Dual GPU's on one card, but i think it might be the setup you have, and also, get a nVidia 300 Series in 2010. It has DX 11 which Windows 7 Supports and i think is happier with. My system uses an i7 920 but not OC'ed. With intel Turbo Boost i'm happy. It might be the OC settings. Just a guess. But if your happy, don't change the OC settings. i cant be responsible for dammage.
Should anyone need a virtual drive for W7 then UltraISO will run without any problems, Alcohol120% wouldnt install but they were working on a fix for it but UltraISO will read the A120 format.
All in all its a big thumbs up the only thing against it is that it will cost more than Vista but we will need to wait see.
If you run 32bit OS then it will not see anymore than 2.5GB of memory so you would need a 64bit system to take advantage of any additional ram.
I have had no problems with it so far, its what Vista should have been as it still has that Vista feel to it only that it works
The 64bit version will allow you to install a Virtual Version of XP sp3 should you need to run any software that will not run on windows 7, which to this point is not that many.
i play fsx on windows xp and i runs really good for me, better than vista!!
