What they play are sharps and other flat notes. Which is fine for that genre because it sounds demonic and crap. As for this, the guy plays in Drop D. That's two steps higher than Drop Bb. And honestly, EVERYBODY makes sure their guitar is in tune. Otherwise, the most epic of melodies sound like shit.

I'm the same way. My sense of hearing is pretty acute (I can actually tell Serj apart from the Rabbit Joint singer, and most people can't, apparently. Same with Brian Johnson and Bon Scott) so something like that is pretty glaring.

That being said, I am pretty sure it's intentional. because the chords and most of the notes are in tune. It's just the style I guess. The song's badass overall, so I guess I'll just get over it.
