I get mine put into DFU mode or whatever,

then it says to wait while while device is being jailbroken, waiting for reboot....

then nothing happens... i waited for a half hour last night and nothing happened... HELP PLEASE!

When I download the firmware file & extract it using winRAR it takes all the individual files out instead of giving me one .ipsw file. What am I doing wrong? & How can i change it?

well first download redsnow then the firmware but u need mozilla to get the firmware cuz safari wont let u

yes the reason why it is coming up as a file you have to do it through firefox!!!! only not safari and it will be recived as a ispw file hope that helps!!!

does anyone know why when i download the iphone 3.0 ISPW, why a folder downloads and not the restore.ipsw ??? there is no .ispw file in the folder either, redsn0w opens fine but i cant find the ISPW for my iphone on my mac... help

i dont know to much about macs but how are you downloading the ispw? like to your itunes or to your actual computer? and maybe your computer is hiding the ispw so you might have to find it on your computer somewhere

win u download the .zip file

erase the .zip extension and it will turn into the .ispw file and use that

i figured it out. if u get stuck on rebooting unplug iphone cord turn on phone and put it back in. and if t doesnt it worked 4 me.

If it gets stuck on rebbot just plug out your charger then plug it back in then it should work

yea same here man... Feels like i really messed up!!.. I saw some guide on a blog that said to disconnect the plug from iphone and plug it back up and redsnow should continue.. Let me know if it helps you.. It did not work for me.

first u need to restore,update then jailbreak...ur phone must not have anything on it then get the 3.0 firmware for your phone and browse for that in ur redsnow and do that. let me know if that works or not

i did this for an iphone 2g. after the redsnow installation, i put my t-mobile sim card in and it did not work. is there anything i have to do prior to that to make it work?
