  • After the Shadow war there was one Shadow Death Cloud leftover, the Drahk tried to do this to Earth I wonder how many others are leftover.

  • those planet killer missiles where the size of ships though

  • Interceptors. We have seen missiles used in Babylon 5 but on nearly every occasion they are shot down by defense turrets. When the subject of missiles came up in "Crusade" they indicated that missiles were really only useful for hitting planetary or stationary targets. Missiles don't have a lot of use in Babylon 5 because, more often than not, they are too easily shot down. The exception in "End Game" when ships were focused on destroying the platforms and unable to address the missiles.

  • well, its also a matter of payload, missiles nimble enough to get through do not have the punch to make the effort worthwhile.

Starfurys have missiles that spread area of effect submunitions, because i guess spray and pray does work better if anyone can intercept and evade traditional missiles with ease

As for the shadow planet killer: yeah... get a sense of scale. the thing is encompassing a whole planet. run the numbers. oh and it basically shockfreezes you.too.

  • Frankly, I'm surprised none of the other factions use nuclear warheads for ship-to -ship combat.

  • @SG14ever Their are many treaties in the B5 universe that forbids using Nukes and Mass Drivers. One of the Charters of the Babylon treaty is to not use these devices as well, so any member part of the Babylon treaty has to follows those rules. Of course that ois for the "use" not manufactor.

Also, as said before, Ship Interceptors are VERY effective in destroying missles, and considering the radiation an incoming armed warhead has, then you can shoot them down at long range most of the times.

  • @SG14ever This is why you see Earth SHips carrying and using nukes during the Earth-Minbari War, before B5 and the Babylon Treaty.
