i remember playing this on my old dos system. there was a program i had which included this game as well as many other demos. there were games called terminal velocity, trolls, cosmo, beer, bio, duke nuke em 1&2. there were tons of really cool games. does anyone else remember this program?

When I first saw this video, I literally had an "OMG NO FUCKING WAY!" moment. The reason for this is because I had absolutely NO KNOWLEDGE that i've played this game before but once I saw those green monsters in the cells, cola cans, green waste or blobs in the cellar, it instantly triggered memories of me seeing these images as a kid when I was about 2 or 3 years old. I can't believe the first Duke game I've ever played was Duke 2!! I thought it was Duke3D. Man it's amazing how the brain works.

It's just that the brain records certain images, smells, sounds, etc. that can trigger past memories. You just need some kind of sensory reference to bring back the memory. I don't recall my physically playing this game but I very much remember the images and even the music. It was mind blowing.

Can I ask you a question: How do you manage to run dos games so smoothly? Every time I run a dos game on my Dosbox, it always lags and runs at a slow pace. Also, I use D-Fend Reloaded so I can run games through Dosbox with just a double click of a mouse button. Can you please tell how I fix this problem? And don't tell me to use the keyboard command to do so. I already tried that, and it barely does anything to solve the problem!

A neat feature of Duke Nukem II is both Soundblaster and AdLib (if your card supports AdLib) sound effects can be enabled at the same time. It adds more depth to the effects. I know of no other game that can do this.

Does anyone knows how to install this old games on vista, i have DOSBox but i just don't understand anything of it. And i'm looking for months now. I really really miss this games. I still have them on cd, but i just can't install them because my computer. The computer is too new.

create a folder on your c:\ drive called OLD.

Put Duke Nukem 2 in it (make sure the folder is named something like DUKE2).

Now start dosbox, and type :

"mount c: c:\OLD"

now type "c:" and press enter. Type "cd DUKE2", then type "dir /p" and look for the EXE file that should be called something like DUKE2. (press enter to skip pages)

go to the end and type "DUKE2" (or whatever the exe is called).

There you go ;) To configure sound, there should be a config or install
