  • The slower shutter speed, also dramatically decreases the nasty blue and yellow streaks that these cameras produce in direct sunlight or when dealing with another bright light source.

  • Neutral Density filter. Basically like sunglasses for your camera, it lowers the amount of incoming light evenly across the spectrum. You can then use different apertures and shutter speeds than you could otherwise. I was able to use a slower shutter speed w/o overexposing, this makes it so the propeller is blurred looking, instead of the strobe effect that you sometimes see in videos of prop planes.

  • I should add that an interesting feature of this camera is that you can change the shutter speed, aperture or exposure, WHILE you are shooting video, which can be helpful to immediately evaluate various settings.
