The best directorial debut ever! Apart from all the incredible performances, story, mood, action etc. the theme tune ranks for me as the simplest, yet most haunting tune around!

Thats a great trailer - especially for the age of the film. I love Carter Burwells music. Also - never noticed it before but lots of shots look like David Lynch's Lost Highway - must have been an influence.

I also noted that Lynch borrowed the ominous ceiling fan shot from this movie several times in Twin Peaks. But I think his use of it was slightly better cuz it was like a secret little nudge about where the real danger was.
