i know in the wii version, you have to buy it from Malo`s shop in Kakariko..i think it should be the same for gc

It isnt even a glitch.. when you get the sword and sheil at the beginning it stays on your back because Midna does not know you and does not magically hold onto your items as she does later in the game.
