clarence whats your typical squat day sets/reps ect? i'd squat everyday if i'd get these kind of results even though i hate squats! it would be worth it..but have no idea how many sets/reps i should do for everyday squats..
nice squat. One advice:your knees went ''inside'' during the move, meaning that your back chain couldnt handle these kgs and the quads worked more that they should be,making the move a little ''abnormal''
Except from that you did nice, just work your back chain more(with goodmornings, deadlifts etc)
@Hoorayify Seeing as it's just a single rep, it's perfectly fine to not do it with perfect form especially if you want to see what your max is. I doubt he runs that weight normally, at least for now. :) Pretty impressive nonetheless!
@Hoorayify why are you giving advice to someone who can squat more than double the weight you can? this is pretty close to a 1RM. certain things are going to break down slightly, but the breaking down in this video is so minimal it's not even worth mentioning.
the reason i say this because from just above parallel to below parallel and then just above parallel again your speed in this squat goes pretty fast, then your already above paralle and it slows down alot, and you begin to actually struggle with the weight. So my question is if you were moving that fast through all the other phases then why are you struggling to lock this weight out? therefore post a video of you using this same weight and go to parallel and no lower, lets see if u can do it
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
let me know when u post a video of you doing this same weight no lower than parallel.. i dont think u will be able to do it at just parallel, no dropping it fast so you can use inertia and momentum to get it back up either..
@track200meters Momentum and inertia to get it back up? Are you kidding? Momentum is working against him when going down this fast lol!
You do get some stretch rebound out of the hamstrings by going below parallel, regardless this is a massive squat and textbook form, I have no idea why you are calling him out on it.
These squats dont count.. No one does this in competition. THis form of squat is easier to do than going to parallel , stopping and then lifting it... Its easier because of the narrow stance, the bounce off the calves and the momentum basically carrys him below parallel then back above parallel a bit then all he has to do it do a half squat to lift it. These squats are easier. Use the same weight at the same body weight and go parallel and then lets see if you can do it.
@clarence0 ACTUALLY, IM not joking.. what is your max squat? i either want to see you do your max squat parallel or something above this weight right here and i want to see you go to just parallel and no further and lets see if you can get it up. im going to bet that you cant
@track200meters OK your a retard if you think going parallel is harder, not only that its very bad for your knees and bigger weight is going to be handled which is more risk to injuries. So do you really think that bounce from the bottom works huh? why don't you try to see yourself which one is harder because there's less risk of you been injured with a smaller weight load.
@clarence0 actually your a retard if you cant just do a simple thing and that is use that same weight and go to just parallel slowly and no further and lets see if you get it up.. im going to guess that you wont be able to
@track200meters WTF?? Are you serious. If olympic squats are easier than powerlifting squats, than why is the powerlifting squat world record more than 100kgs more than the highest olympic squat?
@track200meters WTF?? Are you serious. If olympic squats are easier than powerlifting squats, than why is the powerlifting squat world record more than 100kgs more than the highest olympic squat?
@track200meters If you had any knowledge of physics and bodily kinematics, you'd realize you're completely wrong, and every time you post comments like this on an ATG video, you make yourself look like a fool.
wow impressive!are u an oly lifter?no disrespect but i would suppose bigger legs for such gr8 performance.who minds though u r training for strength anyway :)
Wow you are a very gifted individual! Did the squating come naturally to you, or did you start with lighter poundages as us mere mortals? How long have you been doing this?
@OldtimeChris Yeah, I started young and there was times I was only doing 110 for 1 rep max, I Did 130 for 1repmax @15 years and 72-75KG bodyweight. Anyone can increase 100kg+ weather you start at 100kg or 150kg.
is it too much to ask if u can send us ur full weekly training plan? trying to get down to 85 - 90 kg bw but keep my strength but im failing miserably ever since i lost 10 kg even though im doing it slowly, want some insight in what u do...so ye if u can that be great. thanks.
@DefyingGravity1893 I don't have a weekly plan/program. I walk into the gym and decide there and then what to do. I judge by how I feel on the day and a program can't do that. But usually I train once a day and squat everyday to a max set (1-10 rep max) and pretty much attempt a PR everyday whether its 1rep max or 4 rep max.
@DefyingGravity1893 Calorie count, it is simple, eat less calories than maintenance and you lose weight. if you aren't calorie counting you are guessing and won't get results.
My top two favourite channels on youtube are yours, and BROZ. If you went to BROZ gym just to train for a few days you would be one of the strongest lifters there.
wow..that was amazin'..but don't be mad at me when i tell u that u r idiot...u could break your back man...don't do that again plz..4 god sake ...still u r awesome..god bless u :D
It looks like your quads may be taking over the lift out of the hole. It seems like your knees are falling in a little. However, fucking awesome lift bro. Keep at it
@ArtjomGlad One max set for example here in this video I did: 60X5, 100X5, 140X3, 180X3, 200X1, 210X1, 220X1, 230X1 (MAX SET) All the other sets are just for warming up.
I'm guessing high bar squats are easier if you're trying to do ATG?
I tried doing ATG low bar and it was hard as fuck lol.

Thats a man squat. Suggestion: don't walk around so much. Just lift, one step back, and squat. Seems to me you'd waste energy with all that walking.
