klaha is lovely and i don't get why some people think he was trying to be like gackt. klaha is nothing like gackt and he never wanted to be and never tried to be like gackt. klaha is always himself and that's what makes the klaha era the best MM era in my eyes.

I think Klaha is/was BETTER than Gackt, IMHO. His voice was moar operatic and suited MM better as they shifted into having a darker, moar Gothic edge.

I agree, but did you ever felt like Gackt made MM lack something? I do. I don't like all of MM's Gackt era songs. They still had some good songs, but some of them were missing something. ... perhaps because they were too soft for MM to play?

Well, being that Mana always co-wrote songs with whoever was the lead singer at the time, the style of the songs also had 50% to do with Gackt or whomever. It seems Gackt had moar of a soft, pop-ish, kind of taste/aesthetic to his music (ESPECIALLY during Voyage, Premier Amour springs to mind to me).

I guess Gak't fans just were angry he left. I think Gak't era was better in terms of the bands popularity and epicness, but Khala is also pretty good. I haven't heard enough of the band yet to decide who is better, but I do love the song "Beast of Blood" from the Khala era.

Yeah, Gackt did bring MM it's popularity seeing since Tetsu wasn't the best singer. But I think that some of the popularity did have to do with Gackt's looks more then music.. but oh well, I am glad Gackt did make MM famous, if not then there would have not been a Klaha era. Beast of Blood is my favorite song, it's been that way since I found MM. It would probably remain #1 to me for a very long time. Have you heard the Bara No Seido album?

i don't know...kozi's and yu~ki's faces don't seem to be affected by that. there is something very different about the way klaha looks right here. klaha doesn't have a round face like this, his face is so angular. his nose and eyebrows also look different. so i think maybe it's because of the way his makeup was done that day?

No, Mana just doesn't talk. He never talks or smiles in public. Kami was the drummer but after he died, nobody was given his place except for session musicians who are never named. Mana was the leader of Malice Mizer, and used to 'talk' through other members of the band, who interpreted for him.
