@LiMeej - It's not that they skipped everything before Zyuuranger, it's just that they didn't decide to make Power Rangers until that year. Apparently Dairanger was skipped because the fighting was too violent for kids, and also the different colour rangers might have confused the audience. The Dairanger white suit was used for Tommy though.

If they do in fact use the japanese clip, they'll probably make up something like the other rangers are from different planets or an alternate dimension, even power rangers that existed as legends years before the original five made their appearance.
i think the power ranger adaptation to gokaiger would be a great way to send off them off. With one team of rangers being given the powers off all the previous ones, you cant really give a team more power than that.....

I'm sure they could come up with some kind of plot reason for the existence of the non-translated sentai teams, like them being rangers from the distant past or other worlds. I'm kinda playing around with some different plot ideas for ways they could do it. I am such a nerd for saying this, but it would be really awesome to work at Saban one day.

I like your enthusiasm, but it's just not logical. To make Gokaiger into the next Power Rangers, Saban would have to explain where the Gorangers - the Jetmen came from, and then he'd have to explain where the Goseigers came from. It would be to much effort. And we all know that American TV Shows should NEVER have any effort put into them. =P But seriously, it doesn't make sence to make Gokaiger the next PRSeries. But good idea though! =)

@TLxShock Although there are other solutions to your question (such as alien ranger route) and I know the majority of fans don't want to hear this, the gokaiger dub would make much more sense if they just retconned the whole Zordon era or at least the part about that being the origin of rangers on earth. Then make a movie special or something that went through the "true" history of the power rangers and culminating with the great war against the Zagyack

@MYTstudio In MMPR Zordon says there were rangers before his rangers. Look at the episode where they go back in time. Wild West Rangers I think. I know they went back twice. The rangers played their ancestors who were also rangers.

i work on my own power rangers ideas ideas that have not been used before i don't know if mailing them saban is an option because of power rangers being super sentai in japan it may not be such an option i mean ide really like it to happen in the not to distant future

i think if they did adapt this they would remove the references to non traslated sentie, most of the time they show up in off shot power selections so it would not be hard just to do new scenes with familar powers, now i know alot of saban kids do not like disney but having grown up with powier raners being 4 when MMPR started and stopping with SPD after feeling there was no chance of a new power. i think alot of people forget the whole stand aloneness is actually very sentia like to begin with

Saban should leave this one be you have about 15 sentai teams that have never been seen, he'll try to change the plot so much it'll probaly end up like jungle fury or like samurai, and last but not least he will take all these great characters and inject pun upon pun into them it will be horrible. that and he doesnt have the balls to have things like blood,or people actually being killed that makes the show more adult and less campy
In the amarican version they would probably lose the flouting figuarine thing... I was thinking relics that can give you the powers of any ranger past future and present... The pirate theme wasn't my cup of tea til I saw that that could become any ranger they wanted... Thats tight... Very good idea and Saban would look good to get some of the older acters invloed in this new adaptation... And I agree with whoever said they need to create an original story line... the more i get into gokaiger the more i worry it wnt get adapted to power rangers since alot of the footage uses pre-zyuranger footage. explaining away that the sentais are rangers from other worlds would be nice but it wouldnt fit in with all the bandwagon fans who only care about power rangers.
Saban would be CRAZY to pass up Gokaiger. It's a marketing GOLD MINE.
In addition to the current line of toys, there could be re-releases of old toys, toys of never-before-seen Rangers, and maybe even some US original stuff!
As for all the pre-Zyuranger stuff....they COULD include it, but they'd have to get a DAMN GOOD writer to make it work.
Now that I think about it, if they include Dairanger in this, Saban could finally do the Ancient Rangers saga that they couldn't do in Lost Galaxy

@ilvpowerrangers, other than archive footage from the saban era(including wild force), all disney did was get two MMPR/Zeo rangers(tommy & adam respectively). but hey...
@FanboyD2 for the most part I agree the only thing i would add is maybe cut down on the explosion and use of slow motion cuts, some episodes of samurai are almost unbearable because of this

@FanboyD2 The problem (and what might be somethign that would help) - what exactly in terms of new stories can they do for Gokaiger? A lot of the seasons that they use, Saban still has used - Lost Galaxy, Samurai, and others - they have the actors and footage to use from them.
If they wanted, I could see the "traveling the worlds" Decade-style workign for them, I suppose. The GokaiGalleon could do that legitimately instead of traveling through paintings(?) in Decade.

If Disney was still at the helm, I'd say no way Gokaiger would get brought over. Even now, its still kinda doubtful. The only conceivable way would be to exclude the 10 squads that were never translated. Because of that it limits Sentai footage in fights they can use, which means more original sequences. Plus the suits and props from all the shows, and sometimes two versions of the same suit. Add onto that Guest Stars, and alot of them. I imagine the conversion would be very costly.

@BanishedZaber Well power rangers in the US has always had a kind of united with the crossover ever season but, Saban needs to this right so it can of matches with the Disney Canon. They would need to start planning this now & get all the actors from all the old seasons and do some camera work for Thuy Trang "Trini" considering she is died.
So issues
1. Get the old actors
2. Match with Disney Canon
3. Make a good Story for this.
Optonal: Sell it dvd with all other eps of PR ever made.
@BanishedZaber There could have been Rangers on Earth before Mighty Morphin. Didn't TJ say in Passing The Torch that he always wanted to be a Power Ranger when he was a kid although he would have been 16 in MMPR.
... I just realized something...Tommy was the original Green and White Power Ranger, the red Zeo ranger and the first red Turbo ranger, and the black Dino Thunder ranger... If they do the battle with all the past Super Sentai heroes in Gokaiger, he's gonna have one heck of an experience... (there would need to be atleast 4 Tommies)
@BanishedZaber They have the option to skip this. Saban is two years behind Toei. Next year can be American Goseiger, (While the 36th Japanese Team goes on we'll call them Kagenger for now) Then 2013 will be American Kagenger while Japan is on the 37th.
The problem is, IF Saban does come up with an half-assed story for all the teams they will lose what respect they have left from Toei and we'll probably never see another season.

Maybe have a thing during the credits of every episodes describing a past team or something of that sort. So the people who don't look up Japanese power rangers online will know what is going on. Why was Gokaiger made. Why it is such a big dea.
@BanishedZaber I know what ya mean. I've got a lot of ideas myself on great stories. I wish they would do some sort of origin story for how the morphin grid was tapped, and we could maybe see the first ever power ranger. Maybe Zordon himself was a ranger at one time.
@BanishedZaber Now that idea is gone. They competely skipped the aquistion of the Zyuranger Grand Power. Zyuranger = Mighty Morphin. The only way now Pirate Power Rangers will happen is if it's prety much 80% original footage.

@PowerSentai101 I have seen no announcements or evidence to suggest that Gokaiger would be the end of Super Sentai. It's run 35 years... if the ratings are good, it will keep going.

But did't they say that the Samurai theme would be for 2 years so in that case we may not get Gokaiger till 2014 which sucks because what they might do is show half the episodes of Samurai this year and the other half next year and then do Goseiger in 2013 which I think is stupid to tell you the truth.

@PowerSentai101 Gokaiger will most likely be the 20th aniversery which is in 2012 so if anything should be skipped it'll be Goseiger.

Saban should leave this one be you have about 15 sentai teams that have never been seen, he'll try to change the plot so much it'll probaly end up like jungle fury or like samurai, and last but not least he will take all these great characters and inject pun upon pun into them it will be horrible. that and he doesnt have the balls to have things like blood,or people actually being killed that makes the show more adult and less campy

In the amarican version they would probably lose the flouting figuarine thing... I was thinking relics that can give you the powers of any ranger past future and present... The pirate theme wasn't my cup of tea til I saw that that could become any ranger they wanted... Thats tight... Very good idea and Saban would look good to get some of the older acters invloed in this new adaptation... And I agree with whoever said they need to create an original story line... Would be awsome....

the more i get into gokaiger the more i worry it wnt get adapted to power rangers since alot of the footage uses pre-zyuranger footage. explaining away that the sentais are rangers from other worlds would be nice but it wouldnt fit in with all the bandwagon fans who only care about power rangers.

Saban would be CRAZY to pass up Gokaiger. It's a marketing GOLD MINE.
In addition to the current line of toys, there could be re-releases of old toys, toys of never-before-seen Rangers, and maybe even some US original stuff!
As for all the pre-Zyuranger stuff....they COULD include it, but they'd have to get a DAMN GOOD writer to make it work.
Now that I think about it, if they include Dairanger in this, Saban could finally do the Ancient Rangers saga that they couldn't do in Lost Galaxy

1. try to get some past actors back
2. unite the saban and disney seasons together
3. dont copy the plot from gokaiger do something original
and if they do does things we will have a satisfiying season who agrees

@FanboyD2 The problem (and what might be somethign that would help) - what exactly in terms of new stories can they do for Gokaiger? A lot of the seasons that they use, Saban still has used - Lost Galaxy, Samurai, and others - they have the actors and footage to use from them.
If they wanted, I could see the "traveling the worlds" Decade-style workign for them, I suppose. The GokaiGalleon could do that legitimately instead of traveling through paintings(?) in Decade.

If Disney was still at the helm, I'd say no way Gokaiger would get brought over. Even now, its still kinda doubtful. The only conceivable way would be to exclude the 10 squads that were never translated. Because of that it limits Sentai footage in fights they can use, which means more original sequences. Plus the suits and props from all the shows, and sometimes two versions of the same suit. Add onto that Guest Stars, and alot of them. I imagine the conversion would be very costly.

@shikato99 I'm sure they could come up with some kind of plot reason for the existence of the non-translated sentai teams, like them being rangers from the distant past or other worlds. I'm kinda playing around with some different plot ideas for ways they could do it. I am such a nerd for saying this, but it would be really awesome to work at Saban one day.

@BanishedZaber Well power rangers in the US has always had a kind of united with the crossover ever season but, Saban needs to this right so it can of matches with the Disney Canon. They would need to start planning this now & get all the actors from all the old seasons and do some camera work for Thuy Trang "Trini" considering she is died.
So issues
1. Get the old actors
2. Match with Disney Canon
3. Make a good Story for this.
Optonal: Sell it dvd with all other eps of PR ever made.

... I just realized something...Tommy was the original Green and White Power Ranger, the red Zeo ranger and the first red Turbo ranger, and the black Dino Thunder ranger... If they do the battle with all the past Super Sentai heroes in Gokaiger, he's gonna have one heck of an experience... (there would need to be atleast 4 Tommies)

@BanishedZaber They have the option to skip this. Saban is two years behind Toei. Next year can be American Goseiger, (While the 36th Japanese Team goes on we'll call them Kagenger for now) Then 2013 will be American Kagenger while Japan is on the 37th.
The problem is, IF Saban does come up with an half-assed story for all the teams they will lose what respect they have left from Toei and we'll probably never see another season.

@BanishedZaber The only way out of half-assing the story that I can see is if they explain what SUper Sentai is. Maybe have a thing during the credits of every episodes describing a past team or something of that sort. So the people who don't look up Japanese power rangers online will know what is going on. Why was Gokaiger made. Why it is such a big dea.

@BanishedZaber I know what ya mean. I've got a lot of ideas myself on great stories. I wish they would do some sort of origin story for how the morphin grid was tapped, and we could maybe see the first ever power ranger. Maybe Zordon himself was a ranger at one time.

@BanishedZaber Now that idea is gone. They competely skipped the aquistion of the Zyuranger Grand Power. Zyuranger = Mighty Morphin. The only way now Pirate Power Rangers will happen is if it's prety much 80% original footage.
