Have you fired it with the drum mag -without- the fore grip by any chance? There was a box mag on another gun I fired once and not having the fore grip there to change the position of my left hand was killing me. Made it really cumbersome. I ask because it looks like that gun might give me the same problem if I ever fire it. Wanted to know how it felt.
MP15s are solid guns, probably better than a colt as far as the fit and finish go. though colt (last I heard) has very stringent quality control. FN makes most if not all of the m16s for the army now.
Getting one from Gander Mountain. Getting the OR(Optics Ready) version. It was $900. Gander Mountain also has lay a way. I also like the fact they have a gunsmith on site.
Today I placed an order for a S-W M&P15T. Total out the door was $1288.00. I am also able to take advantage of the current S-W M&P offering of 5 free magazines.
Yup you'll pay out of the ass for S&W but you won't have a day of trouble. I've had mine for almost 2 years and have put roughly 7000-9000 rounds through it and haven't had a jam, misfire, or any other type of malfunction
I just picked my M&P15T up this past Friday for about $1500...went ahead and picked up an EOTech Holo sight since it was there. He knocked $30 off so i got it for $440. Sighted it in Sat and love the hell out of it. Now i just gotta wait for the ACR to hit the market, lol
I bought a S&W MP15A from a local gun shop. It wouldnt feed worth a damn with any ammo. I called S&W and they asked me what ammo I used. I told them UMC, Remington, Silver Bear, Ultra Max and Hornady. I told them my problems with it and they put me on Hold after asking me for my Serial #. 5 mins later they came back and told me my Warranty was now VOID and recorded because I used a box of silver bear ammo I got free with the purchase! Now I wasted $1400 on Gun that Jams every other shot! POS
Only magazines that I've found to work on the M&P15 is the standard magazine. Don't buy crap aftermarket mags, Magpul PMAGS are the only magazines that I've found that won't give you any trouble. Like I previously posted I've shot roughly 7000-9000 rounds through mine with Magpul magazines and haven't had a misfire or feed problem. I use Hornady soft-point
wow dude u gott good deal....im buyin one for 900 but nit with scope or grip.......when i go in to pay for the scope and grip itll be like another grand or so....good buy
I lucked out and got one for $1,036.00 out the door and I got a free box of hollow's and a BSA Red Dot sight to go along, can't wait to shoot it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Beautiful gun man! By the way, how is the reliability of the m&p15 line up compared to a colt?
