  • Don't u think they should have A10 in conquest too?

  • @aspirine539 Probably not because of how ridiculously powerful it would be, especially with two of them! Not only is the main canon stronger (as it should be, like in real life), the rocket pods seem to actually do more damage or at least have a tighter pattern/better splash. I rarely play Rush jets but when I do it's BRUTAL.

I figure they allow it in Rush because all forces are focused on one area so AA can deal with it better and there's only one instead of two of course.

  • @seedyrom34 Well maybe 2 fighter jet with one A10 for each team. 2 AA tanks. I just want different vehicles spawn every match. So the game feel fresh every time I play.

  • Ah nevermind seedyrom, I just reset my internet and my jet dosen't shake at ALL im soo happy I did 20 times better I went. 15-0

  • @skoowy Ah excellent! Glad it was an easy fix.

  • i subed

  • How come your jet dosen't shake like crazy in First person

  • @skoowy If it does that you might be holding down accelerate too long, which means your jet is at max speed and shakes. The jet doesn't actually require you to hold accelerate as it will automatically do it by itself when you go below a certain speed.

  • @seedyrom34 I am holding the brakes and it still shakes ;( I heard it's a lag issue but my connection (ps3) is highh

  • HOW THE HELL DO YOU SPOT ON XBOX!!!

  • @romanboy1499 I think it's the "Back" button. I just googled it though as I'm on PC.

  • @romanboy1499 Spotting only works on normal.

  • Is there any BF3 Jet video that doesn't have this song :P

Anyway I'll just stick to flying and shooting, works better.

  • @tudythegangster Haha, I had to use it because the original music got my first video taken down. Amazingly this one doesn't trigger copyright. That said, I've gone away from it because it certainly is overused.

  • @seedyrom34 Let me guess, it was Take My Breath Away? :P

  • @tudythegangster Haha, if only! It was Ozzy Ozbourne's "Flying High Again"

  • @seedyrom34 Yeah that was my second guess lul.

  • you can dodge missile eh..

  • @georigie125 You can for now. Upcoming patch is changing that supposedly :(

  • top gun song is priceless

  • A good tip that my friend gave me was as soon as your half-way taking off launch your IR Flares in case you have an enemy jet behind you or near you that is launghing guided rockets. It really helped me because in BF3 on the 360 The other jets spawn trap you.

  • Great Video! But it looks so easy when it's you flying the plane

  • I need a little help still. I have no problem flying on the PS3, but i recently got it for PC and flying is kicking my ass. Is there a way to map the rolling to a different button?

  • @LilRussh Yes, you should be able to. Roll right/Roll left are in the options. It's definitely a new learning curve when you switch to PC, especially with 32-64 player servers where there's so much after you.

  • @seedyrom34 I actually tried what you said, which was perfect advice. I went to an unpopulated server and flew around for about an hour. Since that I have started to actually get kills ingame. Yea it was frustrating at first because shots were coming from every direction, but its been a few days now since and everything is starting to feel right. Thanks for uploading these vids.

  • @LilRussh Great to hear!

  • Very good video.

    Thumbed UP :)

  • play hardcore and you will get millions more kills! Thanks for the video!

  • @strosse I play it every now and then but my friends all play on normal and it's hard to give up good team players.

  • @seedyrom34 they need to be converted! lol. I was. It makes sniping 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 times more interesting and fun! And you know that it's easier to take down tanks...

  • umm all i have to say is .... im subscribing :)

  • i have one question...how do i get someone off my ass? if im chasing someone i almost always get them, and if im getting chased it seems like i cant get away. it pisses me off. i do everything, tight turns crazy ass stunts...ive even risked my life flying so low to the ground that i had to tilt my jet precisely right to dodge buildings and rubble as i went through the map and i still got shot down. what the hell does it take?

  • @Defenders0fCreation Using Air Radar and practice. Many of us spend a lot of time in the cockpit view, staying around 290-310 speed, staring at the Air Radar to get our jets out of the enemy sights. You can also try googling "jet maneuvers" and the first hit has some great moves you can learn. In addition to that, you might consider using ECM Jammer which allows you to disappear off their Air Radar for a few seconds which is sometimes enough to lose someone as long as you aren't in their sights.

  • @Defenders0fCreation Also, when I say 290-310 speed I mean that because jets turn the fastest at these speeds and you can easily out-turn people who don't know it or aren't good at holding that speed.

Finally, I might be putting up a new video soon with more evasion tips and info.

  • @seedyrom34 Sounds good thanks man. also if you could, whats your preferred set up? would you say that theres a clear winner for the perks you can use on your jets? or does it really just depend on the player?

  • @Defenders0fCreation Well based on what I've seen playing with other people and reading forums, it seems that Air Radar, Rocket Pods and ECM (or flare) is a very common and strong layout. I tend to agree because it allows you flexibility to dogfight (air radar/ECM) and have full control over ground assault (rocket pods) and enemies can't use flares/countermeasures on them. So as long as your aim is pretty good, Rocket Pods/Air Radar is a hard combo to beat on most maps.

  • i guess you don't use guided while flying?

  • @Grikkle No, one I unlocked rocket pods I never used guided. With precise rocket control they can do the same or more damage and countermeasures can't stop them. Also, you don't have to switch views and lose control of your jet which makes you easier to shoot down.

  • I just have no luck what so ever, i evad the missile i twist and turn go up and down even fly through the streets i still get shot down

  • @primwho2008 Have you unlocked ECM Jammer yet? You might check out my ECM video and give that a try to see if it helps you stay up longer.

  • @seedyrom34 all i have got is stealth, belt speed, ir flares and heat seekers

  • @primwho2008 Keep at it then until you unlock more stuff. It'll get easier over time.

  • lol, i actually saw you doing the long range rocketpod thing, and all around me were your explosions, and you nearly killed me because i had 2% health, but I thing you were shooting @ the tank i was repairing

  • @uberguy44 Haha, yeah I was probably going for the vehicle. Small world out there in BF3 land!

  • @ProKevin95 To spot enemies in PS3 just aim to it and press SELECT ;D Add me on PSN: RHODESpt

  • @EAjogos I'm gonna add you haha mines IconicPlaYa

  • rely on terrain to get away from stingers if you have extinguisher? why not rely on evasive manuvers to out turn them?

  • @foxboy64 When you don't know the direction/distance terrain can be a better solution. Also, this video was was made months ago, before the exact maneuvers for evading Stingers were known within the game. Now we know that sometimes even flying right into them can work, again provided you know the direction.

  • awesome

  • I'm kinda suck at jets, i haven't gotten a kill yet but have gotten to the point where I do drive them extremely well (after finding the best control layout, legacy southpaw or legacy for the sticks, lefty for the buttons)...now, I have had targets right in my face and I have NEVER been able to disable just one jet because it is difficult to aim.

  • @TheCamerafreek i think the guy on this video is playing on a PC, its easier to aim with a mouse, thats why on shooters they dont have aim assist, on console the games almost always have some kind of aim assist, im not saying he wouldnt be able to do it on a console, but you definitely more practice

  • @jimmy15151 Yep, I'm on PC and I do agree that aiming (in particular) is easier with a mouse...at least for me. You're right though, with practice he'll get the hang of it on console.

  • Cheers man, found you videos so much more helpful then all those other ones around :-)

  • @lemonrind1997 Thanks, glad to hear it!

  • is it just me or are the Frogfoot and Thunderbolt easier to control than the other jets???

  • @ramennoodlechef They are a little less nimble but do feel like they fly "smoother" somehow. I've noticed that the rocket pods in particular are MUCH easier to hit with in those than the other jets. It seems as if they either do more damage or fire in a tighter pattern allowing easier kills. And of course the canon is much more powerful.

  • so your a pc player... noob

  • @SkrillexInHawaii So you're bad at grammar and have think PC gamers are noobs? I'd remove your comment but it's so fucking hilarious it has to stay up! GG

  • @SkrillexInHawaii best be happy they have battlefield on console... its a PC based game...

  • @SkrillexInHawaii i hope you play on the ps3 so i never have to worry about getting you in a match...

Anyways, what do you[uploader] think about the heatseeker missiles? Their all ive got unlocked for weapons so far, but i find that i rarely ever use them

  • @TheWowmaster98 There's a reason they are an early unlock and that's because they aren't all that great in most situations. That said, they can be used effectively if you're able to get two off quickly and beat an ECM/Flare. Most pilots, however, switch to something else once they unlock everything.

  • @TheWowmaster98 yes i play ps3 and im killas on my jets and helis i use my rocket pods mostly

  • so u cant free look on console?

  • @TheBlkpeople Yes you can. Hold the DOWN button on the Directional pad and move the joystick (right one)

  • @seedyrom34 ty

  • I use keyboard for jet kills, then switch over to mouse for choppers and ground kills and free look... it is a little tricky at first, but once you get used to it, I feel it works better than sticking to one or the other...

  • think need better mouse wth better sensitivty because i cant pitch fast enough unlike you :(

  • I can't tell you how much this improved my enjoyment of BF3.

  • @stevenhoog1 Beyond excellent to hear! Thanks for the feedback.

  • at 3:34 look at the bottom, he got two road kills..

  • i think its harder to fly on console

  • @TheGrandmaAndShit I wouldn't doubt it.

  • @seedyrom34 it really isn't, but you have to be careful of over correction for your aiming. other than that, it's fairly easy.

  • @cjsk8r75 For aiming that makes sense but it seems like Free-looking is more difficult with the controller and you're limited in what you can re-bind. That said, I'm sure there are some damn fine console pilots who tear it up :)

  • @seedyrom34 that is true, i'm just not one of them haha

  • @TheGrandmaAndShit yup i can see that on PC you're way more flexible whereas XBOX have these weird jerks

  • HOW DID YOU GET YOUR CHAT WINDOW ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE SCREEN??

  • @stmarsha11 This was before DICE changed it to be on the left. I didn't do anything and I don't think you can move it.

  • I like landing them :D

  • @puffm098 Difficult at times but nice when you can!

  • @seedyrom34 yea, espicially on the boats aha...land infront of the enemy then once they hop in BOOM!! ahah

  • 4:45 reminded me of take-off on a commercial plane haha.. just the angle of the climb and what-not. Such a good looking game, it's easy to slip into reality.

  • Can you free look on consoles?

  • @OMGaNINJA94 Yes you can! You hold the "Down" button on the D-Pad (directional pad) and then use the right analog stick (I think) to move around in the cockpit.

  • @seedyrom34 Awesome, Thanks! Also I learned a LOT from your tips and tricks. I was a below average pilot and now I'm hoping to slowly get better. Thanks! and Keep up the amazing videos!

  • @OMGaNINJA94 Great to hear it! Keep up the good work.

  • @seedyrom34 - you are correct, took me a while to figure that one out lol. dont know why the game never mentions it

  • @OMGaNINJA94 if ur playing on the ps3 hold down the down arrow key

  • well done mate, most informative video on jets I have ever seen

  • Sounds uncannily like Jack Black

  • @PuckeredBumhole9 Haha, never heard that one before!

  • @seedyrom34 I believe that I may be considered a competent pilot but that does not necessarily mean that I am a great gunner, I have been having trouble with predicting how much I should lead a target before engaging, especially air either planes or helicopters, I am however also on xbox but regardless you obviously have the knowledge.

  • @TheBedrockNews The way I went about it was to start engaging fairly close (especially on choppers) and as I got more and more used to leading/aiming I'd extend that range further and further back. You can tell if you're engaging too late on a chopper if you're unable to get a full burst off before passing it. You should at least get that much and then as you improve you can start later and get two off (or even some rocket pods if, followed by the canon).

  • I don't know if you have console but on console it seems to me the spotting is rougher than pc. When I spot on ps3 the enemies show when I'm really close to the ground thus not giving me enough time to launch an attack. From the videos I've seen of pc gameplay the spotted enemies can be seen from much higher up in the air. I don't know if anyone else has noticed that or it might just be me. :\

  • You have the retical, and the circle around the retical, right? wometimes when i go back into 1st person from 3rd i'll notice my retical is outside the circle. Significantly outside, not just a little. how does this happen, and do i need to worry about it?

  • @bearmanguy This is normal and you don't need to worry about it too much, at least not in regard to your minigun or anything. As I understand it, the reticle/crosshair is where the nose/gun of your plane is pointing so your bullets always go there but the circle around it is the direction your plane is headed. They don't always match up because of momentum/intertia as your plane sometimes is drifting to the side and such. You can see this in outside view often. Hope it makes sense!

  • @seedyrom34 it does make sense, thanks!

  • Okay, simple question. In Hardcore matches and/or without 3rd Person View, how do you do most of these tactics? I tend to play servers with those two because I prefer realism in most of my games (I know, crazy, right?) and most of these tactics rely upon those.

  • @quarrenrp Put simply, you don't. A lot of these spotting tactics are based off of normal mode for Air to Ground. That's why hardcore is hardcore =)

  • ive unlocked below radar but i cant choose it is it a bug?(xbox)

  • @remember2023 It's a passive ability, something you always have and don't need to select or use. Just fly VERY low when something is trying to lock onto you and it should drop lock. However, it doesn't work 100% and if the missile has already been fired it wont break that.

  • @seedyrom34 thanks

  • really hard to control the jet that way with a ps3 controller =/ , used to play bf2 on the pc => mouse for the win. anyway great flying/teamplay and clear commentary. Thumbs up !

  • hey how do you spot jets on xbox? great vid btw :D

  • @ITyzeRPS3 If memory serves, it's the "Back" button on the controller.

  • I have seen this but I will still watch it again ;)

  • @2Birrds1Stone Haha thanks!

  • first! hahahahaha

  • @RedstoneScientist not sure why it was pulled considering SME doesn't own any content in the original. Let's see if this one stays up...fair use people!
