Notch should add these biomes and have hidden chests underneath the surface. They would be really hard to get because of all the mobs that spawn underneath... unless you're a pussy and play on peaceful obviously..

Large parts of the mountains, beaches and forests are terraformed. The entire city and a large area around it has been integrated into this world and placed a little lower than the surrounding area. The Seed is unspectacular without the changes. ;)

prautz, may i ask what you do for a living? your designs are pretty idiosyncratic, and unlike most of the stuff i see people creating with minecraft, a lot of thought seems to have gone into producing a set of buildings that stand together thematically, aren't confined by a sense of realism, and work well within a limited palette of textures.

@1991wow1991 Chunk loading is more ugly-looking when going directly to the horizon. If you do a fly-by backwards and then change it in a video-editing program it will look better
